AMERICAN flag waving ping!
Again, Bill Graham Auditorium is at Grove and Larkin streets. (Near City Hall and the Main Library.) Go to mapquest.com for driving directions. (There is metered street parking in the area. I think there is a public parking lot at Market St on 8th St. - see a tall orange Trinity sign. This is 2-3 blocks away. I don't know their hours or detailed info.) You can also take public transportation (MUNI, BART, Cal-Train) and walk from Market and 9th, or, Van Ness Ave. and Grove.
Bring a hat(if you want), maybe a sweater (it's S.F. : )) whistles, flags, etc. If anyone has a portable player with patriotic music, that'd be great!

I play several instruments, among which is the pennywhistle. I'll bring one of my most piercing ones and play some patriotic tunes. Anyone have a drum?

More parking info: There's a parking garage under the Civic Center Plaza. I'm not sure what street side the entrance is on, but...how convenient. And, it should be open Saturday.

I really admire all the Freepers' work on countering these people. I'm one of the leaders of the patriotic resistance (under the club name Berkeley USA) in occupied territory at UC Berkeley. On Wednesday 10/24 at Noon on Sproul Plaza, we're staging a pro-America rally. Count on the anti-war people who dominate our campus to be there in full force. At the last pro-America rally on campus we had 300 to their 500 or so, so we can nearly match them on their home turf now. This is an invitation to all people out there to come and attend our rally. Every major local news organization, as well as several national ones, will be there, since Berkeley is, for better or for worse, the epicenter of student "movements"
We're really making waves and getting noticed- we were on television when we spoke against the Berkeley City Council's condemnation of the War on Terrorism, and have been featured in all the news reports of the anti-war protests on campus as the smaller crowd of counterdemonstraters. This rally will be the moment that makes or breaks our standing on campus. We need, and we invite all Freepers and other like-minded individuals to come out with your flags and let these Berkeley students know what America thinks of them!
For more information, please email me at BerkeleyUSA@yahoo.com. Thank you, Rory Miller.

Hey--I saw you guys on TV! You were awesome!
If I didn't have a full-time job, I'd come over to support you, but as it is I can't. I've just been trying to educate the students out here at USF.

Go 'TheAngryClam,' go! I admire your fortitude. Shame those leftists with shear patriotism.

Thanks for that link. (I had tried earlier to post just the map on the thread, but, I wasn't able to do it.)

KSFO radio (Lee in the morning and Brian in the evening) were kind enough to announce the rally tomorrow. Thanks! : )
Brian had a "reasonable" fashion tip for the occasion - red, white and blue. Sounds good! : )
Someone called Brian's show and mentioned a bar-b-que also happening tomorrow (he didn't know about the rally) in Santa Clara. The guy said said it was originally scheduled to end at 3, but, said they would keep it going longer in case some people wanted to go there after the rally.
I don't know who the guy is, and I didn't quite catch the name of his cause, but, I thought I'd pass on the info in case anyone is interested - Bar-b-que, Sat., 12-..., at Home Ridge Park in Santa Clara (somewhere near Stevenson.)
Hey, FReeping makes for a good appetite. : )

My dad works as a security gaurd at a luxury apt. complex here in Reno. His co-worker is a retired 30 yr. vet of the SFPD. I was talking to him tonite and he told me that back in the 60's when these brainless morons would protest, that they would load up the wagon and go out and bust some heads. He lamented that cops can no longer do that. I agreed with him that it was too bad. I really wish our police could use force against these anti-American a$$holes. This guy really had me laughing. He said he was the commander and he had to go to break up some of the Haight-Asbury protests in the 60's. He said he would tell his guys to grab the hats and bats, that they were going to break up a protest. Gosh, to be back in the good ole days.
