How do you answer the reality that your own church fathers speak against you. They speak against each other's ideas. Their ideas conflict with the Bible. Is that just politics?

Ah, Ah, Ah, not so fast. By virtue of disagreeing with you, they are against you. What's that old saying about a man divided against himself - can't stand.. That's truth. Your make believe reality is that it makes any sense. I'm gonna go tell this to my door. At least the noise waves will sink into it.

Some of their teachings and writings DO contradict each other...on topics such as Peter being the Rock (NOT), the OT canon (apocrypha), the bodily assumption of Jesus' mother, and her immaculate conception, papal infallibility, and so on. (I have learned this from Geisler's book, Catholics and Evangelicals, Agreements and Differences, just so you know my source.)
