"I don't understand the implications of your post to Howlin. Can you explain?

I'm not sure which one you're referring to. If you mean the ties between Carlucci, Soros, Carlyle Group and the Bush Family, you'll need to become versed in info on Carlucci and Soros. The best method is to use the terms 'carlucci freerepublic' and then 'soros freerepublic' and read the info that was developed, some of it years ago. Wallaby, NDCORUP, Uncle Bill, Boyd, and several others posted a lot about them.

As far as those ties, as well as the bin Laden, and the Bush family ties to the Carlyle group, no one is contending that they're illegal. But just as the Carlyle VIP said --

From the WSJ Article----
"The Carlyle executive added that he would think twice before accepting any future investments by the bin Ladens. "The situation's changed now," he said. "I don't want to spend my life talking to reporters."The only point to all of this information is to show that all of the High Rollers are essentially in Business Together. Simple.

That's the nub of it. The right sees nothing wrong with that. The left everything. I'm not sure where I stand. My feeling is it's too broad.
It's easier to see what I'm talking about if we consider all the business dealings that went on before, during, and after WWII.
I'm sure you're familiar with it; this company or that company traded with, or had subsidiaries in, countries who were our enemy.
I never see a clear-cut ideological resolution of such issues. It seems that they have to be handled on a case-by-case basis.
