That's the nub of it. The right sees nothing wrong with that. The left everything. I'm not sure where I stand. My feeling is it's too broad.
It's easier to see what I'm talking about if we consider all the business dealings that went on before, during, and after WWII.
I'm sure you're familiar with it; this company or that company traded with, or had subsidiaries in, countries who were our enemy.
I never see a clear-cut ideological resolution of such issues. It seems that they have to be handled on a case-by-case basis.
