Bump and ping
Scripter will be off line occasionally between now and the middle of September. I've agreed to help him out by running his homosexual agenda ping list.
A simple freepmail is all it takes to subscribe to or unsubscribe from scripter's homosexual agenda ping list. If you wish to be added to the list in scripter's absence, please FReepmail me.

Fordham UniversityNow a non-Catholic university; rather a secular-humanist-homosexual agenda pile of bricks.
Viva Ave Maria University!

In the 70's the Catholic church was criticized for being too "remote" from American culture. They now reflect the people - at least, as defined by the squeaky wheels of American culture. As a result, compromised morality in church members & leaders.

If the next pope is young, healthy, orthodox and determined, the Jesuits will finally be dealt with and Kolvenbach will be exiled and the order will comply or be punished or even suppressed. LOL -- I see your skills at "bending to the inevitable" are rapidly deteriorating .......go get 'em, BlackElk!
Fix bayonets.......Santiago!!
Attitude bump!

Why would Egan care? He is a notorious homosexual Roman bureaucrat who was made Archbishop of New York just to get him out of Rome, where the police had caught him in a parked car at night in a park with a comely young man. As someone once said, the corruption is like 15 minutes before the fall of the Roman Empire.

The memory of one passage in the book lingers.
It concerns Father Francis Carney's leaving the Jesuits to pursue guerilla warfare in the jungles of Honduras, never to be heard from again.
After a price had been put on his head by the Honduran Gov't, and his safety assured he crept back into Honduras to become part of the solution, and before doing so, wrote to his family in Chicago bidding them goodbye, and telling them he could not stand to live as they lived any longer.
As Fr. Malachi points out, if he couldn't keep to the strictures issued the Pope's Men, he certainly was at least honest enough to not want to bring further disrepute on the Society, so he turned in his badge. After I finished reading that passage, I was left with an ineffable sense of sadness for Fr. Carney, and most of all for the Society.
