2Cor.11 [3] But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ

Ruh roh! I see a man with very short hair in my mirror. However, I doubt that Jesus' hair was gray.
That said, you are exactly right my friend. I don't want to look like Jesus. I want to live like Jesus.
I do.
I got it from Illbay right before he disappeared. He looks like Donny Osmond.
Only whiter.
Posting these verses that clearly state that these two Catholic doctrines are "doctrines of devils" should not be tolerated on this forum!!! If we are all going to get along and be civil, certain parts of the Bible will just have to go!
Are those verses in the bible or not? Is the bible 'divinely inspired' or not? Is the bible 'infallible' or not?
"First they came for the Jews
and I did not speak out --
because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for the communists
and I did not speak out --
because I was not a communist.
Then they came for the trade unionists
and I did not speak out --
because I was not a trade unionist.
Then they came for me --
and there was no one left to speak out for me."

Is there anything we can learn from this?
When they came for the Catholics?
When they came for the Baptists?
When they came for the fundamentalists?
When they came for the agnostics?
Just something for all of us to think about -- is this picture larger than we currently see it?
I don't know your religious persuasion but I have heard this agrument before mostly from Catholics.
One only has to look at the religous post here at FR to see that Catholics are not in agreement on most subjects and have competing competing doctrines.
And to make matters worse not only do these competing doctrines involve the Bible but they also include Vatican I, Vatican II and the reams of other writting over the history of the church.
The Catholic Church has great diversity in spirituality, mission, and strategy, but alone maintains the authentic oneness that Christ said would characterize His Church.
There is only ONE catholic doctrine and that is clearly defined in the Catechism of the Catholic Church. The Catholic freepers may disagree over "personal" preferences insofar as liturgy (Tridentine vs Novus Ordo) but will NEVER disagree over church doctrine.
The Catechism of the Catholic Church is currently being posted to the Religion Forum. Here are the links to date:
1. CCC - PART ONE THE PROFESSION OF FAITH
2. CATECHISM CC - CHAPTER TWO - GOD COMES TO MEET MAN
3. CATECHISM CC - Part 3 - MAN'S RESPONSE TO GOD
4. CATECHISM CC - Section 2 - THE PROFESSION OF THE CHRISTIAN FAITH
5. CATECHISM CC, Part 1, Prof. of Faith - I BELIEVE IN GOD THE FATHER
6. CATECHISM CC, Part 1, Prof. of Faith - I BELIEVE IN JESUS CHRIST, THE ONLY SON OF GOD
7. CATECHISM CC - PROF. FAITH - "HE WAS CONCEIVED BY POWER OF HOLY SPIRIT, AND BORN OF VIRGIN MARY"
Shall I add your name to the bump list?
