Cardinal O'Connor disliked President Clinton about as much as a man that holy can.

In 1996, Cardinal O'Connor was supposed to preside over a service for the victims of flight 800. (the plane the crashed off Long Island going to France) When Cardinal O'Connor learned of Clinton's participation he decided not to do it- until Clinton agreed not to show up.
