The ICEL (fancy name for the lectionary) was redone by US bishops. When the Pope finally got ahold of it, he condemned their translations and changes. So it is my understanding that we are on the way back to the original orthodox translations.
In the Daily Readings, I post from the USCCB site and then in a commentary I post from the Navarre Bible (Spain). I personally prefer the Navarre and Douay-Rheims translations to the New American Bible.
We will have to wait and see what happens here.
