This last Sunday, I noticed that the two thieves are now called the two 'revolutionaries'.
Is this a new change or was it only the one church I went to?

If they've changed the text that much, be careful for what else they may start to change. They were called thieves because that's what they were. To now call them revolutionaries is departing from the Spirit's leading when the text was first written. Be very careful about someone who would change the text of God's word. It's one thing to use words that more acccurately clarify the original meaning; it's another thing entirely to make it say something else.
