He was still the son wasn't he?..Perhaps he repented..perhaps not ..but one thing we do know is he was the loving son of the father and EVERYTHING that the father had was going to be given to Him...

I think it's fascinating to read this story of the "prodigal son" and then read the story of Jacob and Esau. A man had two sons.
Read Jacob's prayer in Gen 32: 9-12. "Save me from my brother."
It doesn't say, but I wonder how much the young prodigal was thinking of the older brother as he journeyed home?
