I thought about that just a moment ago when I wrote this. Actually, 7th hole at the local course is about 470 yards and lies just beyond 2 fishing ponds which front the green on the left and right. There's a narrow spit of land about 30 yards wide that leads up to the hole.

It's the single toughest hole I've ever played, but it's beautiful. And every time I get lost in the weeds near the ponds, I think of my fishing rod at home.

Think I'm gonna tie a hook and line to my ball retriever.....hmmm

Forget the golf clubs, take your rod and fish. You'll be more relaxed at the end of the day.
