From what He has revealed of His nature, I accept that His motives are in character with His nature - as a just and holy God. I would point out that a God of whom a finite human could have exhaustive knowledge would no longer be infinite.
Excellent point, and well taken.
As you are aware, if one does not know the little baby things of Torah, how will he ever understand the deeper things of God? By studying Torah, we learn about the Word, by learning about the Word, we learn about God, and by learning about God, we come to learn about His Son. You do not want to be too hasty about dismissing Jesus as the Christ, and the deeper you go into Torah the more the hidden will be revealed to you.
It's a comment on my prosperity which could be summed up, What benefit is it to a man to gain the whole world and yet lose his spirituality?
Issachar, as a tribe, took on the task of studying Torah for the nation. Zebulon said that they would earn a living and support Issachar in his studies. As a boon to them, whenever Israel traveled, God decreed that Issachar and Zebulon take up their position in the east with Judah as the head of the nation, signifying the importance of the Torah, or Word. A student of Torah is often referred to as a donkey in the OT, a very complimentary designation. He has big ears and he listens. Kind of like a good disciple.
Actually it was a study of doctrine..there is a difference between hating a false doctrine and hating the people that hold it..unfortunately flame throwers like yourself, that are glad to have Catholics burn in hell as long as they think you are a nice guy, turned it into a bash. You had not one positive word to add to the discussion.
OP and Claud and Dave might have had a fruitful discussion...but you and yours will love them right into hell...with friends like you who needs enemies
Eze 33:7 So thou, O son of man, I have set thee a watchman unto the house of Israel; therefore thou shalt hear the word at my mouth, and warn them from me.
Eze 33:4 Then whosoever heareth the sound of the trumpet, and taketh not warning; if the sword come, and take him away, his blood shall be upon his own head. Eze 33:5 He heard the sound of the trumpet, and took not warning; his blood shall be upon him. But he that taketh warning shall deliver his soul.
Eze 33:6 But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take [any] person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman's hand.
Eze 33:8 When I say unto the wicked, O wicked [man], thou shalt surely die; if thou dost not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked [man] shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand.
Eze 33:9 Nevertheless, if thou warn the wicked of his way to turn from it; if he do not turn from his way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul.
