I read a quote somewhere within the last few days which seems very wise to me. A person who has homosexual desires but remains celebate is no more a homosexual than a person who desires to steal (but refrains from it)is a thief.

Everyone is tempted by some vice, but what is important is how we deal with the temptations. God will not allow us to have any temptation greater than we can handle with his help. The homosexual problem in the Church really comes down to a lack of faith, prayer and spiritually by the Priests and lack of proper supervision by their superiors. Heterosexual or Homosexual, no one should be allowed to serve as a Priest, Bishop, Arch-bishop or Cardinal if they are not first faithful to their vows to God and the Church.

I certainly agree. While people who struggle with homosexual temptation certainly do belong in the Church, where they can be helped, I think they should not be in the seminaries, as it is not best for them, nor for the people they hope to serve.

Perhaps after they are able to distance themselves considerably from their vulnerable years, in time they can enter, if given the proper support to maintain a chaste life. I'm not even sure that's such a good idea, to be honest, though.

excellent truth here.

In short there is no such thing as 'homoseuxal orientation' there is only homosexual behavior
