Again,I find myself agreeing with you on the separation of Church and State issue. My problem is: I don't know how that became the "subject" of the thread. I have tried to get through Wesley's sermon 3 times now... and it's just not "readable" (tonight)...maybe tomorrow?

I brought it up because Wesley mentions the destruction done in religious wars. The only way to avoid them is not to give the State the power to force religion on anyone.
I did not mean to distract from the central theme of the sermon which is unity in the church through love (even though we may disagree on many issues).
