The Lord’s teachings are perfect. They give strength to His people. The Lord’s rules can be trusted. They help even the foolish become wise. The Lord’s laws are right. They make people happy. The Lord’s commands are good. They show people the right way to live.

Learning respect for the Lord is good. It will last forever. The Lord’s judgments are right. They are completely fair. His teachings are worth more than pure gold. They are sweeter than the best honey dripping from the honeycomb. His teachings warn His servants, and good things come to those who obey them.

People cannot see their own mistakes, so don’t let me commit secret sins. Don’t let me do what I know is wrong. Don’t let sin control me. If you help me, I can be pure and free from sin.

May my words and thoughts please You. Lord, You are my Rock—the One who rescues me (Psalm 19:7-14).

FATHER GOD,

You are perfect in all of Your ways. Your teachings and rules can be perfect and trusted. There is none like You. You are a good, good God.

Forgive us when we take our eyes off Your Word and go about our own way making choices by what we feel as right.

You promise… if we follow Your teaching, obey Your rules and laws You will show us the right way to live. Good things come to those who obey them.

May it be our number one priority to live our lives pleasing You.

The 2026 midterm elections are less than a month away. Many people go into the ballot box and check what names seem best, not knowing a thing about the candidates.

Lord, cause these people to vote for candidates who fear Your name. May those names glow in the ballot box.

You change the times and the seasons; You remove kings and set up kings. You give wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding" (Daniel 2:21).

In Your mercy give America a season where we have righteous leaders who govern according to Your edicts. Let us have a time of refreshment and a rebirth of liberty and freedom. May people speak Your truth to others in conversation. May they share they Good News of Jesus Christ. May Your love abound in our lives.

Have mercy on us, Lord. Remember the petitions we laid before You for a revived nation.

In JESUS’ name we pray. AMEN.

Psalm 91

1 You who live in the shelter of the Most High,
who abide in the shadow of the Almighty,*
2 will say to the Lord, ‘My refuge and my fortress;
my God, in whom I trust.’
3 For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler
and from the deadly pestilence;
4 he will cover you with his pinions,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness is a shield and buckler.
5 You will not fear the terror of the night,
or the arrow that flies by day,
6 or the pestilence that stalks in darkness,
or the destruction that wastes at noonday.

7 A thousand may fall at your side,
ten thousand at your right hand,
but it will not come near you.
8 You will only look with your eyes
and see the punishment of the wicked.

9 Because you have made the Lord your refuge,*
the Most High your dwelling-place,
10 no evil shall befall you,
no scourge come near your tent.

11 For he will command his angels concerning you
to guard you in all your ways.
12 On their hands they will bear you up,
so that you will not dash your foot against a stone.
13 You will tread on the lion and the adder,
the young lion and the serpent you will trample under foot.

14 Those who love me, I will deliver;
I will protect those who know my name.
15 When they call to me, I will answer them;
I will be with them in trouble,
I will rescue them and honour them.
16 With long life I will satisfy them,
and show them my salvation.
