Sorry. Performance-based salvation is Satan’s greatest deception. Ephesians 2:8-9, for one example.

Religiosity does not involve a personal relationship with Jesus. It involves performing ritualism and “checking boxes” out of obligation. And when it is too late you will experience Matthew 7:22-23: “Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.”

The Roman church teaches a different gospel.

In that passage, the lost talk about their works, not the Savior and the grace bestowed upon them.

Hebrews 11:6 (ESV)

And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.
