Father, we ponder the untenable financial situation in which we find our United States of America. Besides corruption stealing our citizens’ fruit of labor, we see a house of cards in banking and investment firms, unwise loans, a decreased value of the American dollar, ever tightening controls over freedoms to function in our society without leaking monies to credit card companies and various Governmental administrative organizations. Of course this does not include bankruptcy level debt. God, it is a mess! In the coming cleansing, which we welcome, our concern is for Your people and Your ministries as well as the day to day functioning of our infrastructure.
We call right now on Jehovah Jireh, our Provider, and Jehovah Rohi, our Shepherd. Thank You for the covenant we have with You to meet our needs and to teach us to profit and give us the power to get wealth. We are grateful for the absolute law of giving and receiving and multiplication. As the time approaches, please show each of Your children and leaders of Your ministries how to prepare. Show us what to do now with our resources, grant strength and self-control to walk away from wasteful purchases.
We have frequently approached You to ask that You would make a noticeable difference between Your people and the unbelievers so that the unbelievers would see Your goodness and be drawn to You. We are asking that You would do this in the area of finances. Unfortunately, You have children who think it is more holy and noble to be poor. Send Your Word that declares that You took the curse of poverty so that we would have an abundance for every good deed. Let Your Church arise!
We take this opportunity to cast these cares on You and trust You alone to repair this ungodliness. This is too big for anyone but You. You are our God and we are Your sheep and children forever. In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
