The real hero is the young, serious looking priest, I believe affiliated with the cathedral, who walked up to Fr. Dougherty and told him this blasphemous Mass was over with, recite the Our Father and leave.
I never saw Dougherty end the service (it was not a Mass) or leave the altar until the entire circus was over.
