Florida “Church” Hosts Drag Service With Underage Children Despite Law Against Exposing Kids to Such Filth

A Florida “church” just threw a drag service as a big middle finger to Governor Ron DeSantis’ commonsense Anti-Drag for Kids law. Allendale United Methodist “Church” in St. Petersburg did this in the name of “inclusivity,” but let’s be real, they were anything but inclusive. At least, not of actual biblical values. Oh, and there were kids there—actual children watching grown men parading around in women’s clothes, singing and preaching. All this despite DeSantis signing a law back in May that prohibits children from being exposed to this kind of thing. You can’t make this stuff up.

This isn’t just a quirky church service. It’s a blatant mockery of not just public decency but of God Himself. They had men dressed up as women, belting out songs and preaching from the pulpit like it was the most natural thing in the world. Natural? And of course, the priestess of Satan herself is decked on in a rainbow stole and garb. You’ve got to be kidding me.

But let’s get biblical for a moment. The Bible paints a very clear picture of what happens to a society that gets this messed up. In Romans 1, the Apostle Paul isn’t mincing words when he says that people refuse to acknowledge God, He gives them over to a debased mind. A debased mind! That’s what we’re looking at here.

Have we reached the point where children—innocent kids—are being dragged to “drag church” for no other reason except to mock God? Don’t answer that.

According to Romans 1, this is exactly what a society looks like when it’s been abandoned by God. First, we reject Him, then we start worshiping whatever we feel like, and then we dive headfirst into sexual chaos. And the cherry on top? We cheer for those who join us in the descent.

This is way beyond politics. This “church” event is a full-blown revolt against the Creator. And don’t forget what the Scripature says about leading kids astray—something about it being better to have a millstone hung around your neck and to be thrown into the sea. That’s some serious language.

DeSantis’ law might make the world angry, but in reality, its an act of mercy from God—a restraint against wickedness, even if only temporary. But at least it sets some boundaries. God sets boundaries. He made men and women different for a reason, and He created the family as the foundation of a functioning society. When we mess with that, we’re not just messing with tradition, we’re messing with the Creator of all things. We are perverting our call to worship Him and, instead, lifting our middle finger to Him.

These repeated fiascos happening in “churches” around the world should be a wake-up call for anyone who claims to be a person of faith. Our society is nose-diving straight into the moral abyss. When a so-called “church” thinks it’s okay to expose children to drag queens as role models, we’re beyond the point of no return. According to Romans 1, we’re a nation that’s been given over. And it’s not a laughing matter. It’s time for those who believe in the Word of God to stand firm, pray for the Lord’s imminent return, and remember that the Lord is merciful—but He’s also just.

Did this violate the Florida law, or what the lying liberals claimed was in the Florida law? Let’s not validate their lies.

How can this porn shop get away with claiming to be a “church”.

The United Methodist Church has sure gone off the deep end. Another Laodicean Church with Jesus on the outside knocking on the door to be let in.

What does Jesus say to such a church?

[Y]ou say, ‘I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing’—and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked
Revelation 3:17.

He then goes on to tell them how to repent and recover. Those "churches" that don't have Jesus will go into Great Tribulation coming soon.

If any FReeper is in a Methodist church that recently split from the hedonist United Methodist Conference and joined the other conference, kudos to you!

I beg you, as a fellow Christian, let this be a defining moment in your life both as a church and as an individual. Make this your never again moment. Tell each other over and over and over about the first Great Awakening, John Wesley, and his role in the Holiness Movement. That's the point where us Protestants still didn't agree with Catholics about works being part of salvation -- but we quit trying too hard to be different from Catholics to the point that earlier Protestants said holy lives served no purpose (an over simplification of the mistake Protestants made in Wesley's day, but you get the point). Wesley, both as an Anglican minister and later in the Methodist separatists, was loud and proud about Christians being called to live it like we mean it (my words, not his). In fact, this was the main focus of the fire for the Christian abolitionist movement.

Look up how Henry Hoosier, the right-hand man of Francis Asbury (the top minister for Methodists in America) who was a fervent abolitionist and also reputed to be the best orator in America (according to Benjamin Rush, a Declaration signer). Asbury and Hoosier would travel and, among other things, encourage abolition as part of Christians living it like we mean it. Hoosier (also known as "Black Henry") got many "Amens!" from blacks when they took their holiness and abolition message to the deep south. But before the blacks hearing his message got too excited Hoosier stepped on the toes of blacks (and some whites) with his teaching to stop adultery and sexual immorality.

This message of authenticity of Christianity is how Methodists gained in popularity. And it can be the message of Methodists today, particularly the Methodists who broke away from the hedonist UMC. Frankly, it's the message the world needs most today.

Constitutional religious exemption?

Catholic churches had wine during Prohibition.

This church will say their faith requires teaching tolerance and celebrating all of God’s children.

I have attended three Methodist services, two weddings and a funeral. I was astounded that at the weddings, the only mention of God was when we prayed the Lord’s Prayer.

Organized religion. Don’t you just love it? /s

Just the divorce numbers should tell you that church goers are no better than the general population.

The holier than thou crowd, love to boast that they go to church so they MUST BE better Christians than those of us who no longer attend. While they cheat on their wives/husbands/taxes, gossip about EVERYONE, take the Lord’s name in vane, vote for Democrats, condone all sorts of heinous acts, homosexuals, Drag Queen Story Hour, abortion on demand, etc.

>> No wonder the Methodists are having a split.

No kidding. Upon reading the headline, I immediately figured it would be a UMC “church”. UMC’s current motto: All Queer, All The Time.

If John Wesley’s Christian leadership resonates in you (as it does in me), do yourself a favor, avoid the UMC like the plague that it is, and seek out a Global Methodist Church (GMC — the ones that split off from the UMC) or Nazarene or Free Methodist.

Took me a while to find the words, “Bible study” on this church’s website (you have to look hard):

(Completed) Half Truths
They are simple phrases. They sound Christian―like something you might find in the Bible. We’ve all heard these words. Maybe we’ve said them. They capture some element of truth, yet they miss the point in important ways.

In this 5-week Bible study, we will search for the whole truth by comparing common Christian clichés with the wisdom found in Scripture.

If that’s not enough, check out this “celebration” of Lent:

SLEEPER, AWAKE
40 days of companionship for the deconstruction process
By Suzanne Dewitt Hall
We at Allendale have chosen the Lenten season this year to deconstruct our faith. We are using as a foundation for this practice the devotional written by Suzanne DeWitt Hall called “Sleeper, Awake 40 days of companionship for the deconstruction process” The Path of Unlearning: Book One

It’d be a hoot if it weren’t real, as the satire writes itself.

First off was this law put on hold by a crooked judge. I can’t remember because that happens so often. And if not then what is the penalty for breaking that law.
