I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone: for kings and all those in authority that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. ~ 1 Timothy 2:1-2

Come, my children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the LORD. (Ps. 34:11)
We thank You, Dear Jesus, for working in the lives of our own parents, our grandparents, our relatives, and all who had come to faith through the mighty preaching of the Word and the Power of the Holy Spirit, and kept faithful watch over us while we were growing up. Who taught us about God, Prayer, Sin, Forgiveness, Salvation, and Hope. Thank You for their prayers so persistent and so effective as to touch each of us, especially during the times of our wanderings, doubting’s, troubles and sorrows.
We lift up, Dear Jesus, this current generation, who are being bombarded at every angle from this world so as to stifle Truth, refrain Praise and Thanksgiving, silence conviction, and obliterate sin and conscience. The attacks from the enemy are constant.
For our sons and daughters who are walking in the Truth, we pray a blessing over them from Psalm 34: The Angel of the Lord camps around those who fear Him, and He delivers them - Blessed is everyone who takes refuge in Him. Fear the Lord, you His saints, since those who fear Him lack nothing. (Ps. 34:7-9). We pray for our grandchildren that they will grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ and grow up in the Fear of the Lord with all wisdom and discernment.
For our sons and daughters who are not saved, or who have walked away from the Truth and have been manipulated into the ways of the world, we pray: Oh Taste and see that the Lord is good - Anyone who takes refuge in him will not be found guilty. (Ps. 34:8; 22) Oh we pray: Proclaim the Greatness of the Lord with me, and let us exalt His Name together.
And though we are reminded in Psalm 34:21 that “Evil will slay the wicked, and those who hate the righteous will be condemned,” we pray: Who wants to find pleasure in life? Who would love to experience many good days? Guard your tongue from evil and your lips from speaking deceit. Turn from evil and do good. (Ps. 34:12-14)
Let all the earth fear the Lord; Let all the inhabitants of the world stand in Awe of Him. (Ps. 33:8) Amen.

Lord, for those who have walked away, please draw them back to Yourself and bring them back to that faith they had as a child. Bring back memories of what You have done for them. Cause them to hunger and thirst for righteousness. Work in them to make them the men and women of God that You intended that they be.
Bind the work of the enemy in their lives to destroy them and cause them to disbelieve the lies the enemy is feeding into their minds.
In Jesus’ name.
Amen, Jeanbl

Lord, we especially pray a hedge of protection around the children. Children are being exposed to an evil we could not have comprehended when we were younger.

Psalm 24
Of David. A Psalm.
1 The earth is the Lord’s and all that is in it,
the world, and those who live in it;
2 for he has founded it on the seas,
and established it on the rivers.
3 Who shall ascend the hill of the Lord?
And who shall stand in his holy place?
4 Those who have clean hands and pure hearts,
who do not lift up their souls to what is false,
and do not swear deceitfully.
5 They will receive blessing from the Lord,
and vindication from the God of their salvation.
6 Such is the company of those who seek him,
who seek the face of the God of Jacob.*

7 Lift up your heads, O gates!
and be lifted up, O ancient doors!
that the King of glory may come in.
8 Who is the King of glory?
The Lord, strong and mighty,
the Lord, mighty in battle.
9 Lift up your heads, O gates!
and be lifted up, O ancient doors!
that the King of glory may come in.
10 Who is this King of glory?
The Lord of hosts,
he is the King of glory.
