Led by a respected former PM, and given a lot of resources by the Russian State, meet the Imperial Orthodox Palestine Society

The Imperial Orthodox Palestine Society, a humanitarian NGO founded in Russia 140 years ago, now plays a key role in expanding Russian influence in the Middle East and beyond. As relations between Russia and the Western world plunge, Middle East and African countries engage in developing ties with Moscow. It is also quite remarkable that this rapprochement is based not so much on political foundations as on the common values and moral foundations.

The Imperial Orthodox Palestine Society (IOPS) is the oldest scholarly and humanitarian non-governmental organization in Russia. Recovering after decades of being largely underestimated by the Communist government, it has now regained its former role as an important peacemaker in the turbulent region. Operating as an independent entity it maintains strong ties both with the Russian Orthodox Church and with the federal Government.

The IOPS is led by its chairman - the former Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Sergey Stepashin, whereas the IOPS Committee of Honorary Members is headed by Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia. It also includes Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, hierarchs of the Russian Orthodox Church, Russian diplomats and top managers of major corporations.

From the very start the IOPS took Chi Rho as its emblem, with a saying by a Prophet: “For Zion’s sake I will not hold My peace, And for Jerusalem’s sake I will not rest" (Isaiah, 62:1) as the motto of the Society.

Today, IOPS considers protecting Christians in the Middle East and around the world as one of its key international objectives.

Says Elena Agapova, Deputy Chairman of the IOPS, Head of the IOPS Public Center for the Protection of Christians in the Middle......

The Russian Orthodox church is a branch of the Russian state.

Sorry Putin. You don’t have the same skills at manipulating the public like Zalensky. Zalensky knows to stir up support in the western world you cater to the homosexuals, perverts, and trannies. Zalensky is an expert in the zeitgeist.

“ If Putin was interested in Christian virtues he never would of invaded Ukraine.”

If Putin was interested in Christian values he would ban sex mutilation “trans” surgeries on minors. Oh, wait, he does ban those mutilations. It’s Biden and Zelensky who push the gay agenda, not Putin

“ The Russian Orthodox church is a branch of the Russian state.”

So? The Church of England has official state status too. Unfortunately, the similarity stops there. Unlike the Russian church,?the Church of England is soft on abortion and homosexual agenda

“ I would rather push gay agenda”

Figures. You’re also for child “trans” mutilation, I take it. Putin’s opposition to this degeneracy is why Biden and the US elites hate him with the heat of a thousand suns. You’re on Biden’s side - not a place to be proud of

And Stalin, after killing off (purging) most of his senior officers before WWII, and the USSR getting its butt kicked in the early part of the war, rallied Russian patriotism around Orthodoxy. rasPutin is doing the same thing today.

Stalin “ rallied Russian patriotism around Orthodoxy. rasPutin is doing the same thing today.”

Stalins Western Allies - the US and UK - did the same thing. Churchill and FDR sang hymns together and Churchill said the war was a fight for “ Christian civilization”

The Palestine ‘Mandate’ended in 1948 withe the recognition of the Jewish State of Israel. There has never been a country of Palestine, but the closest was the Palestina Region of the Syrian Province of the Roman Empire. It was controlled by Turkey for 400 years before the Mandate was declared in 1917.

If Putin was Christian, he'd have outlawed divorce.

Oh wait...he dumped his wife. Can't do that.

And had his enemies executed. That's totally in synch with what Jesus preached.

Sure...his lackeys in the Duma are pushing laws that excite and delight allegedly conservative people. We can all see they are selective about their morality, unlike Jesus.

They have the Cross in their hand and the devil in their heart.

Okay ... so WHAT is the US government nakedly on about in the world?

Poofters, transtwits, race grievance hustlers, Marxist comprehensions by way of Critical theory, America-last and Islam?

They stole the government and are engaged in political prosecutions of Americans you say?

It’s still “our” openly godless and heathen government run by the depraved, perverted and demented.

There are no good guys ... but the Russians apparently still feel the need to pretend where the scum in DC flaunt it.

Oh, hey

I have a theological question for you Russian Orthodox.

What happens to Ukrainian Christian children when they are killed by Russian soldiers or bombs? Do they go straight to heaven to be with Jesus? Thanks.

Yes, an end to no fault divorce — instead only allowing divorce for specific causes associated with corrupt or perverted behaviors, or “faults” — is greatly to be desired anywhere.

Given Russia’s primary clients in the ME are variations of radical islamists, mainly Iran, this will float about as well as their aircraft carrier that’s burning again.

This is all about targeting American conservatives who knee jerk oppose anything Biden and his fellow scum seemingly support.

In the conservatives’ defense, that is the correct position to take about 99% of the time, and Democrats are certainly taking advantage of a crisis and ignoring American crises, but stopped clocks are sometimes correct for a second.
