It appears though that Francis is in schism against Vatican I, other Councils, and previous popes as well:
“It is not licit to convince them of your faith. Proselytism is the strongest venom against the Ecumenical path.” ~ Francis, Paul VI Hall, Oct. 13, 2016.
Francis, August 7, 2013, while in Buenos Aires: “Do you need to convince the other to become Catholic? No, no, no. Go out and meet him. He is your brother. ...”
Vatican I, Dogmatic Constitution on the Church of Christ, Sess. 4, July 18, 1870: “But, that the episcopacy itself might be one and undivided, and that the entire multitude of the faithful through priests closely connected with one another might be preserved in the unity of faith and communion, placing Peter over the other apostles He established in him the perpetual principle and visible foundation of both unities, upon whose strength the eternal temple might be erected, and the sublimity of the Church might rise in the firmness of this faith.”
Vatican I, Dogmatic Constitution on the Church of Christ, Sess. 4, Chap. 2: “Moreover, what the Chief of pastors and the Great Pastor of sheep, the Lord Jesus, established in the blessed Apostle Peter for the perpetual salvation and perennial good of the Church, this by the same Author must endure always in the Church which was founded upon a rock and will endure firm until the end of ages.”
Pope Pius IX, First Vatican Council, Sess. 4, Chap. 2, [Canon]. “If anyone then says that it is not from the institution of Christ the Lord Himself, or by divine right that the blessed Peter has perpetual successors in the primacy over the universal Church, or that the Roman Pontiff is not the successor of blessed Peter in the same primacy, let him be anathema.”
Pope Eugene IV, Council of Florence, 1439, “Whoever wishes to be saved, needs above all to hold the Catholic faith…”
Pope Boniface VIII, Unam Sanctam, Nov. 18, 1302: “With Faith urging us we are forced to believe and to hold the one, holy, Catholic Church and that, apostolic, and we firmly believe and simply confess this Church outside of which there is no salvation nor remission of sin...”
Innocent III, Lateran IV, 1215: “There is one universal Church of all the faithful outside of which no one is saved.”
Pope St. Gregory the Great, 590-604: “The holy universal Church teaches that it is not possible to worship God truly except in her and asserts that all who are outside of her will not be saved.”
St. Paul, 1st century AD, Sacred Scripture:
Ephesians 4: 4-5: “One body and one Spirit; as you are called in one hope of your calling. One Lord, one faith, one baptism.”
1 Tim 3: 15: “...the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.”
Matthew 18: 17 “And if he will not hear them: tell the church. And if he will not hear the church, let him be to thee as the heathen and publican.”
The church... not the 40k protestant churches.
All confirmed and affirmed over a vast period of time.
Many more such examples are in agreement with the aforementioned in between the dates given.
Ut unum sint!
Good stuff. Based on that first comment of +Francis, I’m not sure that’s mere schism.
