It's like with famous song lyrics, iconic movie scenes, memes and other ubiquitous sights and sounds -- goes ignored. Dismissed outright. Perfect.

The intel is out in the open between the lines. But who's looking there.

To understand why religious Jews are taking this seriously, it's important to know that Rabbi Chaim Kanievsky was considered one of the two or three top rabbis of the ultra-Orthodox Jewish community in Israel.

If Rabbi's are meeting Jesus the Son of God, they would be preaching Jesus the Son of God. They are not doing so, so I conclude that as in the past, orthodox Rabbis are promoting one of their own as being the Messiah.

Jesus said He would return in the same manner He left, i.e., in a cloud over the Mt. of Olives. This is not to say that Jesus has not appeared to people in the interim - He has. But when He does, those individuals proclaim that they have met Jesus the Christ. Jesus appearing to Paul and to Muslims comes to mind. If Jesus reveals Himself to a person - that person will typically preach/testify that they have met Jesus the Messiah. I hear no such testimony from religious Jews who claim they've spoken to a Messiah.

It's possible that you are correct that we are beginning the 7 year tribulation.

However, and this is theory of just mine so don't run with this without doing your own study, it's possible that this year is a year of great blessing for Jerusalem. And like you, by "this year" I mean the Jewish year (which started a month ago).

This theory is based on reading Daniel 12 and Revelation 11. Maybe the desecration that causes desolation is building the al-aqse mosque on the Temple Mount (AD 688-ish). 1260 years later is 1948 (Israel restored). 30 years later (Daniel 12:11 says 1290 days or years after desecration) is 1978, the year Israel made peace with Egypt and a time nobody thought was possible. 45 years after that is year AD 2023 (again, in terms of the Jewish calendar that year has already started). Daniel 12:12 is vague (Amplified version): -- How blessed [happy, fortunate, spiritually prosperous] and beloved is he who waits expectantly [enduring without wavering for the period of tribulation] and comes to the 1,335 days!

If I'm right, and that's a big "if", it's not telling us when Christ returns, nor is it telling us the tribulation is beginning. Nor do I believe it's necessarily a global phenomenon. I believe at the narrowest the setting is Jerusalem that's being blessed, or at most the believers of God (Who's temple was in Jerusalem) are being blessed this year. It may be that the 7 years of tribulation are the centuries of horrible persecution of Christians by the Muslims that's been going on in that region, marked by Islam planting their flag on the Temple Mount by building the mosque there 7 centuries ago. (This is based on my theory that us American Christians have a bias in thinking most of the eschatology events have to apply to us or they don't count -- including the horrible persecution that believers have experienced for centuries in that region.)

Far too many signs are converging on this year (Jewish year 5783) being the beginning of the 7-year tribulation.

Please don't bother enumerating even only the top ten signs indicating that the Second Coming is imminent!

The forbidden chapters (Daniel 9, Isaiah 53) in the Bible for Rabbinic Jews give us the answer to this…

1. Jews Reject their Messiah and he is cut off
2. Jerusalem and the temple is destroyed
3. Two thousand years of desolations and war
4. Antichrist will confirm a 7 year covenant with Jews and Restore Temple Sacrifice
5. In the middle of Covenant, he will break it and forbid sacrifice and put His image in the Temple.

Satan comes with all signs and lying wonders. It is becoming clearer why and how Israel accepts the antiChrist as their messiah and signs a treaty with him that starts the seven years of the wrath of the Lamb.
