I understand.

I had a good discussion about today’s Gospel with our prayer group about the lack of leadership in our shepherds.

Pope Francis banned Fr. JesusMary (Ivory Coast) from public ministry for stating facts about the Pope not following the Catholic Faith and allowing other Bishops to support and preach about non Catholic values. Then, told him not to critique the Pope.
(He is permitted to say Mass privately on the condition that he refrains from writing criticism of the Roman pontiff.)

Another priest cancelled.

An article in Lifesite News:
https://www.lifesitenews.com/blogs/pope-francis-bans-priest-who-publicly-challenged-him-from-all-public-ministry/

A thoughtful response letter to the Pope. Another letter or dubia that he will ignore.

Pope Peter (1 Peter3:17) stated that “For it is better to suffer for doing right, if that should be God’s will, than for doing wrong.”

So I anticipate that we will need to suffer for the Lord.

So I anticipate that we will need to suffer for the Lord.

Anticipate- AND EXPECT... to suffer...
The shocker is that you would always think the cause would come from outside the Church - and NOT from Rome !
But yes- be it as it may- or where it comes from-
and just as we join Christ in the Eucharist,
we are asked to join our suffering to his Passion as well.

Phil
“For the sake of Christ you should not only believe in him but also suffer for his sake

It's an uncomfortable thought for most who call themself Christian, and many of us even reject it, for the sake of our own comfort...
But it is through this uncomfortable suffering, we will be given the Grace to do as this morning's Gospel spells out- becoming effective Laborers for the Harvest-
In authentically bringing others to Christ.
THE LAST THING any faithful Catholic should be doing is running away.

50 years ago a very smart man gave the "wake up" call on this:

"Who is going to save our Church?

NOT our bishops, not our priests and religious.

It is up to you, the people.
You have the minds, the eyes, and the ears to save the Church.
Your mission is to see that your priests act like priests, your bishops act like bishops, and your religious act like religious.".
Fulton J. Sheen - May, 1972
