I’m tempted to ask how a non-religious, barely Catholic, self-described humanist has made “significant contributions to the Catholic Church and particularly to America’s men and women religious.” But I suppose that if such a person can be pope, then one can get this award, too.

The most recent Saint Katherine Drexel award was given to Cardinal Joseph Tobin in 2018.

In other words, he's an apostate Catholic. That explains a lot.
