Odd that you say that. I have several friends who are Freemasons, and they know I am Catholic. They hold the work the Knights of Columbus perform in high regard, and the Knights appreciate the good works of the Masons as well, so I am uncertain where you are getting your information, but perhaps you need to look a little further.

Childs is way off base. Freemasonry is just a front for the Illuminati, who in turn are puppets of the Knights Templar.
The really amazing thing is that so many Founders joined Freemasonry without realizing this. George Washington, in particular, must have been a really dumb guy to fall for it.
What I have read about the Freemasons would indicate that the lower degrees are not privy to the real purposes of the organization. I agree that none of the Masons I have met have any hint of the demonic. Nevertheless, great popes of the past(unlike our current pontiff) have universally condemned the organization and levied the penalty of excommunication for joining.

Not Catholic, so no KOC, Freemasonry are the guys in the Davinci Code?, i don’t know, no one ever asked me to join, and as long as they point their weapons in the same direction as mine, we’re all good. I doubt that any of them want to cut my head off because I’m Christian, so I’m pretty sure we can coexist.
And if they are fundraising on a street corner and don’t look homeless, i’ll give the same as i do to Salvation Army or local fire department.
