I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone: for kings and all those in authority that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. ~ 1 Timothy 2:1-2

Rejoice with those who rejoice . . . Finally, my brothers, rejoice in the Lord. It is no trouble for me to write the same things again to you, and it is a safeguard for you. (Rom. 12:15; Phil. 3:1)
Weep with those who weep . . . To be sure, many walk as enemies of the cross of Christ. I told you about them often, and now I am saying it while weeping. Their end is destruction, their god is their appetite, and their glory is in their shame. (Rom. 12:15; Phil. 3:18-19)
Father, we also rejoice in all our loved ones who have come to a saving knowledge of our LORD JESUS CHRIST. We rejoice in watching them grow in grace and knowledge, we rejoice as we see them pass on their faith to our grandchildren, we rejoice to hear the praises and prayers, simple as they me be, that come from the mouth of babes. We rejoice that our names are written in the Lambs book of Life, forever. And we will be together with you forever. Sometimes this knowledge is too much to comprehend, but yet our hearts are filled. Thank you for this.
And as with all things, there are those times where indeed, we weep. We weep for those who are apart from Christ. Especially our families, especially our children, especially our grandchildren. Father, grant us a heart of compassion for them. I know in our zeal to see them saved, we falter at times, and may make things worse. I know this personally, and I weep about it so many times. BUT GOD, who is rich is MERCY, even when we were dead in our trespasses and sins, made us alive together with Christ. So we have hope, even through our tears, for each one of them. Dear Father, please help my son. Draw him into Your Loving Mercy that touches hearts to repent and know forgiveness of sins. Father, there is no greater burden lifter than Your forgiveness. Our hearts are not content until we are made right with You. How I thank you for this. It is a lifeline for us. Your compassions are healing balms for all our wayward ways, Your Love is our strength to do Your Will and want to please you.
We mourn for our Nation. We see the pattern of destruction making its marks along every avenue of life. Indeed their glory is in their shame – their god is their appetite and we read: Although they know God’s just sentence—that those who practice such things deserve to die —they not only do them, but even applaud others who practice them. (Rom. 1:32) Oh GOD. Only YOU can supply and answer the prayers needed for this. Please, accept our hearts, use our unity together, to bring about the proper and powerful petition for repentance in our land. We ask these things in the Powerful Name of Jesus Christ, and in the Powerful work of the Holy Spirit, through the Power of Your Great Love and Mercy, YOUR GLORY. AMEN.

We especially lift up those who do not know Christ. We pray that their hearts will be softened, that they may receive Him. We pray that they will cease their rebellion and seek His kingdom.
