Wonderful news. Glory to God!
Just to note - the Christian persecution in Soviet Union was terrible. Most priests were executed, including the patriarch, and almost all churches were shut down and turned into museums, swimming pools, office buildings or even apartment housing. Many churches were just raised. Monasteries were dissolved and building used for other purposes. All church property was confiscated and stolen.
Teaching religion was prohibited and schools were teaching atheism.
Since 1991, the Russian Church is in great comeback, churches were returned, rebuild and reopen, there are quite a lot new priests and churches are full.
But this is a slow process, as you see above.
Still a lot to do!
