Revelation 7

The Great Multitude in White Robes

9 After this I looked, and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands. 10 And they cried out in a loud voice:

“Salvation belongs to our God,
who sits on the throne,
and to the Lamb.”

11 All the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures. They fell down on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, 12 saying:

“Amen!
Praise and glory
and wisdom and thanks and honor
and power and strength
be to our God for ever and ever.
Amen!”

13 Then one of the elders asked me, “These in white robes—who are they, and where did they come from?”

14 I answered, “Sir, you know.”

And he said, “These are they who have come out of the great tribulation; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. 15 Therefore,

“they are before the throne of God
    and serve him day and night in his temple;
and he who sits on the throne
    will shelter them with his presence.
16 ‘Never again will they hunger;
    never again will they thirst.
The sun will not beat down on them,’[a]
    nor any scorching heat.
17 For the Lamb at the center of the throne
    will be their shepherd;
‘he will lead them to springs of living water.’[b]
    ‘And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.’[c]”

Our Father in Heaven,
How Hallowed,
Magnificent,
and Sanctified
is Your Most Holy Name!
How Blessed and How True is Your Word,
and How Mighty!
How Glorious,
to Span the Millennia,
To be Unfettered by Time and Space,
To Know The End from the Beginning
and the beginning from The End!
For it is You, Oh LORD,
Who designed the Galaxies with Your Compass,
And Mapped Out the Vast Reaches of Space
With Your Word and Your Omniscient Imagination!
Scientists tell us even the heavens are finite.
But YOU are Infinite!
LORD, remind us ALWAYS to Worship You,
and not Your Creation.
Your creation is there but to proclaim YOUR GLORY.

Let All That Has Been Concealed,
Be Revealed.

LORD, We Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem,
According To Your Will and Promise.
We Beseech You on Behalf of Our Captive Brethren,

Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

The persecution of Christian Believers is not confined to the days of Nero. The Coptic Orthodox Church has recently canonized 21 men who were beheaded on a beach in Libya because they would not renounce Christ. The Russian Orthodox Church has a special day honoring all of their Faith who were killed by communists, and have canonized the Romanov Family who were executed by the Bolsheviks. Iconic churches in Europe have been burned down, priests murdered at the altar, and families imprisoned in China. In our own country, COVID is being used to squelch church services, and the few intrepid pastors who attempt to continue serving are fined and ridiculed. But, as this Passage shows us, this is only the beginning of "Birth Pains".

It's probably not a good idea to skip around the Apocalypse and glean certain chapters, but, in this study, we will only be reading the Passages that have to do with Lambs, Sheep, and Shepherds. As you can see, Revelation has a lot of those. Christian Martyrs, from the First Century to the Present Day, are Overcomers By The Blood of The Lamb.
