Save for the remnant that follows Bible prophecy diligently, many adherents of the Sunday ritual would probably miss the relevance of Luke 17:26-27. More so if they are part of the scoffing fraternity.
“Just as it was in the days of Noah, so will it be in the days of the Son of Man. They were eating and drinking and marrying and being given in marriage, until the day when Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all.”
Are we in the days of the Son of Man? Quite a lot like it despite the surge in pandemic casualties ’round the globe. There are still instances of snaking queues at Michelin-rated eateries, and bottle shops [liquor stores] are still boasting of noisy cash registers. It is true that the pandemic did deal a hefty blow where food and beverage establishments mattered, but as a good number floundered, an equally exuberant replacement figure sprouted at an unbelievable rate!
The economic fallout from the pandemic is surely many times worse than the crash of 1929. The equity markets appear to defy gravity – even corporations on the verge of Chapter 11 still have no shortage of punters. At the time of writing, the cryptocurrency mania is beyond imagination. Regardless of overtaxed healthcare resources, there seems to be a lot of easy money to be made. Small wonder when a lot of young couples are tying the knot, all based on the false notion that the gravy train is having a long way to go!
The watchman and watchwoman of the present day can be a close comparison to Noah making his way into the ark. His critics sure did have a field day, right until the moment they were caught unprepared, and this resulted in their demise. The current-day critics have been blatantly replacing the Blessed Hope with the blasted hope – call this a scoffer’s parody! Some might refer to the Left Behind movie, which starred Nicholas Cage – somehow, a vast number would relegate some hard truths in this flick to mere B-grade science fiction!
What then if all of a sudden, it was not too good to be true. Just like the current pandemic plus its repercussions, unthinkable perhaps eighteen months ago – but right at this moment, it is something we all have to live with. Disruptions, distortions and deviations – part of the so-called New Normal. Some people might have lost a loved one during this worldwide crisis, but some managed to encounter the cheating of the Grim Reaper. We can accept the fact that one fine day we have to breathe our last.
In the not very distant future, it might not play out the way we were conditioned where expectations of mortality were concerned. A parent, a sibling and a spouse could just as good as vanish into thin air. No human remains beside what was last worn. It is not the one-off case but many cases – until there is exasperation when the caseload of missing numbers implodes. No funeral, no decent send off, and from a legal standpoint – the tedious process of declaring someone legally dead.
The shocker of it all is that there were numerous forewarnings that this would happen. Best of all, these forewarnings came from the very people that vanished!
Too late for regret because the reality of it all is chilling. Death in one form or the other is inevitable. If eternity in hell were to be avoided, it would be the guillotine falling on one’s neck. Otherwise, a brief existence that would definitely be overshadowed by suffering with no end in sight.
The prospect of being left with a heinous option base is about to explode before many eyes. Unless they turn to Jesus and accept him as Lord and Saviour. Time is running out really fast. Make your decision swiftly, and you will avoid being forced into such a horrific state.

The Sabbath was instituted at Creation. It was re-instituted on Mt. Sinai (400 years of slavery will cause you to forget). It was reaffirmed during the Life of Jesus of Nazareth. And will continue in Heaven. The Ten Commandments (wrote in stone) should guide our actions if we are to be the remnant and not those left behind (as in the days of Noah).

There will be a vast difference in the aftermath following the rapture than the aftermath of the flood.
In Noahs day there were 8 family members that lived having heeded the Lords warning. All others on the face of the Earth perished.
Compare that to the immediate minutes following the disapearance of untold numbers of Born Again overcomers.
There will be chaous around the globe. Unimaginable devestation of carnage left behind of countless unmaned vehicles of all kinds. What about life insurance beneficiaries? Without a body how do they collect? What about financial accounts? Can we say a new market for identity theft? If only there were a way to identify people.....oh wait....there will be.
How about the countless number of false teachers who scoffed and therefor misled their followers. Those left behind will be out for blood.
But the biggest variance between the two events is that following the rapture it will lead to the biggest revival the world has ever seen. Albeit it will be the martyred saints who will give their lives for the Testimony of the Lord Jesus Christ.
The Book of Revelation explains it as follows:
Rev 7:9
After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the Throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;
Rev 7:13-14
And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? And whence came they?
And I said unto him, Sir, you know. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the Blood of the Lamb.
Thank God Jesus has become our Sabbath. He is our Eternal rest.
On the Cross He uttered the Words: “It is finished”
His shed Blood was all we needed to be cleansed of our sins. Anyone saying otherwise is to say His Blood was not enough.

Americans so easily believe that because things get bad here in America, it’s the end times.
I remember tons of people saying it was the end times under Obama. I even know a guy that “escaped” America with his family to live in New Zealand in 2009 or 10, because he read a prophetic book that said America was going to collapse. Well, him and his family is back here in America now...
Let’s not be so near sighted people. Yes, things suck in America worse than they did just a month or 2 ago. But NO ONE knows that time. It even the Son, only the Father. Our job is to be ready.

29: Take My yoke upon you, and learn of Me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
30: For My yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
(Immediatly following this, Jesus went into the Synagogue and the pharisees accused Jesus of breaking the law because He healed. The lame on the Sabbath.)
Paul had his challenge with the Judiazers everywhere he went attempting to place their law upon the new converts. For example:
Galatians 5:1
1: Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ has made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
(Paul also warned against receiving any other Gospel:)
Galatians 1:8
8: but though we or an Angel from Heaven, Preach any other Gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.

We can ssee that day approaching. At least those of us not hindered by the weight that besets so many. Much like when the scales fell from the eyes of Paul.
We are witnesses to the birth pangs. As a woman in travail she recognizes the birth approaching ever closer as the intensity and severity of the contractions intensify.
Yet those who are weighted down by false gospel are hidden by their own scales and have become scoffers in these last days.
To the lost the day soon coming will be of great tribulation. But for those set free are free indeed.
I’ve shared a thought given me about a helium baloon tied to whatever bondage a person is held by.
For each bondage an individual is freed from, the string is loosened and the helium baloon rises. Once all entanglements are loosed, then he is without weight to prevent his departure.
We are free, thank God we are free indeed.

A Real ‘Show Stopper!’
There have been many rapture movies and the one thing all, the ones I have seen, have in common and that is incorrect was that afterwards everyone was bewildered, not knowing what happened.
Everyone left will know exactly what happened. When Jesus comes back everyone will see Him in the clouds and will come back with a great sound like a great trumpet.
