A Handmaid’s Tale is becoming, for American Christians, what the Protocols of the Elders of Zion has been for Jews. Margaret Atwood’s dystopian 1985 novel tells stories of women living in a hellish American theocracy. The Protocols of the Elders of Zion claimed to be the minutes of a secret Jewish conspiracy meeting, held late in the 1800s.
Protocols was written as slanderous propaganda, intended to justify hatred. Whatever Atwood intended, that’s become the role A Handmaid’s Tale increasingly plays here — especially now that it’s a hit Netflix show.

When Atwood wrote it and the first movie was released in the 80’s she did not claim it had anything to do with contemporary politics, religion or social issues.
Now with the revival and leftist obsession with it she is making a mint and goes along with the nonsense.

Margaret Atwood, a Canadian, wrote her novel whilst a graduate student at Harvard. She and her fellow feminists travelers in Cambridge could see the end of the World thanks to America’s President, Ronald Reagan, and the Evangelical Movement. Margaret’s nightmares included her becoming a vessel for the sperm of Religious Conservatives.
She got it wrong. The real Dystopian nightmare might well begin on November 4. Feminists may well take the White House, as soon as they get rid of Daffy Joe, increase Nancy Pelosi’s power in the House and take control of the Senate with a Democrat Majority Leader, a feminist Senator to be named later. Packing of the Supreme Court with RBG clones will complete the Trifecta and American men will lose their freedom and Constitutional rights.
With the Constitution suspended and later abolished, liberal feminists will rule absolutely. Men will become the serfs of the new Queendom and the new Duchesses of America will bend men to their iron will to provide the labor necessary to build the feminist New World.
Had Atwood had been paying attention, she could have written that novel and then lived to see it become reality.
In the 80s the popular press was tying it to Reaganism and the Religious Riggt.

A Hit? really? I’ve never seen it or the movie made back in the 1990s. I know lots of silly women love to dress the part but there is not a one of those hags who would interest me. One look and it is just the opposite! That is when AI(Artificial Insemination) comes in.

I saw the movie of the Tale. I am under the impression that was made in response to the earlier movie called, “A Boy and His Dog”, which had the same sort of wild religious undertones.
