The Israelis have stated for years that Hezbollah has stored their explosives in a warehouse in Beirut. If you watch the videos that have been released, there was definitely a Warehouse fire for an extended time before the fertilizer blew up. Ammonia Nitrate will blow up if exposed to fire. Hezbollah controls the harbor, and the story that the confiscated a trawler filled with the fertilizer and had been trying to sell it for years is extremely plausible. As to the Rabbi’s connection with the Isaiah Prophecy, it is fitting that this explosion occurred on Tu b’Av, Wednesday, (15th of AV), which is the Festival of Redemption. It is ironic that God would use the ignorance of the Hizbollah enemy against them. The explosives that would have been used to kill innocent Jews has blown up their own innocent people who live in Beirut and will not be used against Jews or other innocent people around the world.

You are correct. And if it were enhanced......it would have taken more down. No bomb maker with this much material would have left it as a low grade explosive. None.

My ‘feeling’ is that while many may tell you exactly what they claim happened, no one knows much of anything.
An orange/red smoke was visible moments before the 1947 ammonium nitrate explosion in Texas City harbor.
Ammonium Nitrate is only an ezplosive when it is mixed with diesel oil. It is NEVER stored mixed, it is always mixed in the field as you use it.
That shock wave was way to fast for low speed explosives like ammonium nitrate.
It was clearly a bomb factory or ammo dump..

If you wanted to make a bomb, mixing with petroleum would be the way to go, but it is by no means necessary to create an explosion. Heat would do it.
