I sang in Billy Graham’s Choir when he had a Crusade in Boston back in the 80’s. Cliff Barrows was the choir director, and I learned vocal stuff that I have never forgotten and continue to use in my teaching of Voice.
I traveled to and from the Crusade on a Honda CB350 Motorcycle with my little sister clinging on the back...and it rained every night.
THOUSANDS of Bostonians came to the Lord during that wonderful week that I will never forget.
And we were under the stars in Nickerson Field...original home of the Boston Braves, but now part of Boston University...and it was one of the most memorable weeks in my entire life.
We had a tent revival in our small town . . . I was probably about 8 or 9 years old but I do have a lasting memory of it. I have the hymn book they sold somewhere around here. The town was dry back then and these days instead of a revival tent, the mayor who is known for his imbibing brings in a beer tent every fall festival. . . ain’t gonna happen this year. . .the festival has been called off.
