"They’ve gone insane."

Yes. Mass insanity. Israel has bigger fish to fry than tracking American petty criminals and addicts like George Floyd. This is just more crazy left wing antisemitism.

The lutheran pastors fought against the Nazi move to create "Aryan Christianity" or "positive Christianity"

Remember The Lubeck martyrs - three Roman Catholic priests – Johannes Prassek, Eduard Müller and Hermann Lange – and the Evangelical-Lutheran pastor Karl Friedrich Stellbrink. All four were executed by beheading on 10 November 1943 by the Nazis

Karl Friedrich Stellbrink[6] served in the First World War until he was medically discharged in 1917 with a crippling wound to his hand. After completing his Lutheran theology studies, he was ordained in 1921 to the Evangelical Church of Prussia's older Provinces. In the early days of the Nazi regime he was briefly caught up by the political movement and joined the Party. He soon realized, however, its inhumanity and incompatibility with Christian teaching. He was called before a Nazi Party investigative board when he refused to break off his friendships with Jews. He quit the Party in 1937.

This comment from a Lutheran, just finds a new bottom for the kind of feeble minded insanity we have been hearing now for years from the religious Left. I am a Lutheran and I am stunned that any Lutheran or anyone at all could reach such of level of intellectual atrophy as to make this comment. The stun is wearing off, and unfortunately, I am becoming numb.

Well said, Richard. As a fellow Lutheran, I feel the same way. My church has left me.

GAG.

Lutherans in name only, worshipping the gospel of social justice.

Bear in mind that the Christians in name only problem has been around since Jesus, when they in reality worship their own ideas and try to force God to approve of them.

Talks heart the ELCA ceased being Lutheran or even Christian years ago. This is not the official doctrine of the confessional Lutheran Church

I don’t know but if it does you have no knowledge of the confessional Lutheran Church. Like most we have our parts that have gone off the rail but there remains a remnant of those that call themselves Lutheran that actually are faithful to Gods word. You can find them in the Lutheran Chirch Missouri Synod, the Wisconsin Synod and a smattering if smaller groups

“I wish they would stop calling themselves Lutheran”

I hear ya. At this very moment I’m listening to reporting about Lewis’ funeral at a BAPTIST church. Cringe. And GWB’s eulogy said Lewis “loved the Lord”. Cringe again.

(And when the hell did this creature die anyway? Haven’t they been traipsing his body all over God’s green earth for a couple weeks now? Sheesh!)

WTF does Israel annexing the West Bank have to do with George Floyd dying during a police stop in Minnesota?

Fine, then I accuse North Korea of being responsible for Alex Kurtzman's godawful Hollywood career, including failures like the dreadful Mummy remake with Tom Cruise, Transformers 2, and everything he ever wrote with the words "Star Trek" in the title. I don't like North Korea, therefore Kurtzman's trash is entirely their fault.

Makes sense, right ELCA?

>> As always, do not confuse the ELCA with real Lutherans. <<

The ELCA is BY FAR the largest Lutheran denomination in the United States. Perhaps the "real" Lutherans need to do a better PR job, then.

Our Savior Lutheran Church in Mesquite is part of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America (ELCA) and a welcome place of worship to everyone.

This church has an outdoor sign I can’t even look at. Any time I do, my blood pressure almost explodes. I don’t look now, but I drive by angry. What a wonderful feeling for a church to engender. They compared Jesus to illegal immigrants and, bizarrely, to Saddam Hussein. When Hussein was captured, the military called his hiding place a “spider hole.” This church said, “Jesus’ spider hole was a manger.” What? They, of course, make obvious, hateful reference to Donald Trump. Can you lead souls to Jesus or is that asking too much?

Are they in a race to the bottom with the Episcopals?

Decent Lutherans can move to the Missouri or Wisconsin Synods. According to Pew Research, I think it was, the latter has the most GOP clergy in the nation.
