Who Holds Tomorrow

Father in Heaven, we do not know what tomorrow brings, but you do. You know the beginning from the end. You keep us under your loving wing and shelter us from the storm. It is for us to watch and pray. It is for us to keep oil in our lamps so that we are always ready for the day of your return. It is so difficult to see our world turned upside down; to see everything that is good in your eyes become evil in the eyes of man and everything that is evil in your eyes to be declared good. We pray, Dear Lord, for wisdom, strength, and courage for these days of chaos and confusion. You are a God of order and of truth. Please, lead and guide us. Help us to put on the whole armor of God each and every day.

We continue to pray for our President and Vice President and all those who are of goodwill within our government. Please protect them from the attacks of those who want to do them harm and please protect all those who are on the front lines of our first responders. We pray for the lies to be exposed and your truth to shine forth. We stand on the promises of your word and reclaim this land and its people for you. We ask forgiveness for our sins and plead the blood of Jesus over our nation.

Thank you for hearing our prayers. Thank you for the groanings of the Holy Spirit when we find it difficult to put everything we want to say into words. Cleanse us, Lord, and make in us clean hearts. You have given us free will to reject you or to choose you as our Lord and Savior, but we ask you, Father God, to remove scales from eyes, soften hard hearts, and open ears of those who are choosing evil wicked ways. Lift the veil of darkness and let them see the light we pray.

Lastly, please protect the children. We pray that every child that is being abused be found and taken to a place of safety. We ask for angels with flaming swords to be placed around them until they can be rescued.

Lord, thank you for all the others who will be joining in prayer today. Richly bless them, I pray.

We ask all these things in the name of Jesus. Amen.
