Smite the devil.

Sad times. I glory that we can suffer in some small way what early Christians suffered.

YouTube has many wonderful Masses and religious videos. This forces each of us to construct our OWN Lenten journey. It turns us inward. Not a bad thing.

In the end, it’s really just you and God. All else is chaff.

Finally, Lord, we ask for the protection of all those in harm's way. Give them discernment and wisdom to keep them safe. We ask, too, that those who have been wrongly charged be exonerated plainly and completely. We ask all these things in the name of Jesus. Amen

Oh, thank you, dear FRiend.

Thank You, Father, for the life of Patrick—a true evangelist. My life may have been greatly diminished, or not existed at all, if it weren’t for Bishop Patrick, centuries ago. Hallelujah!

May the true meaning of the day reach the ears of those who stay indoors today because of the cv, instead of drinking in bars.

Would you please pray for my dear husband Mel tonight. He has parkinsons disease and is sick with the croup and a fever. The doctor has put him on a Zpak. I fear taking him to the hospital due to the corona virus. The doctor said to keep him home unless he gets worse. I’m sitting at his bedside tonight asking God for a Divine touch over his body...If he could just rest I believe the meds would help him heal. Thank you.

Father in Heaven, we ask for Mel's comfort and healing. Please quiet and calm all symptoms of discomfort, lift his immunity and grant his physicians Your healing insight and gifts. Father please help Mel perceive your warm and tender presence while he recovers. Pleases speed his recovery, shield him from any and all other illnesses or complications, and grant him and Pollywog Your peace that surpasses all understanding during this time. Thank you, Father, for blessing us with their lives.

Will keep your husband in my prayers.

Besides a hot, steaming bath, years ago they recommended syrup of ipecac to relieve kids from the croup. I used to get it myself when I was young, and my youngest son had it once. The doctor advised syrup of ipecac to make him vomit, which brought up all that mucous.
