We praise You, Father, for raising up leaders during crisis in our nations history.
During Presidents Day weekend, may we remember three presidents, born in February, in three different centuries:
* 18th Century:
George Washington: February 22, 1732
General of the Continental Army during the American Revolution, kept the Great Cause of America going during the bleak days at Valley Forge, first president under the Constitution, and Father of our country
* 19th Century:
Abraham Lincoln: February 12, 1809
President during the Civil Warthe bloodiest war in our history, abolished slavery, kept the union together, reviled during his times, assassinated
* 20th Century:
Ronald Reagan: February 6, 1911
President who brought us through the malaise of the Iranian Hostage Crisis, stagflation, and energy crisis, precipitated the end of the Cold War, and used as his campaign slogan:
And as today is Valentines Day, may we also remember Reagans life tips concerning love:
during these evil days during the third century of our nation
* 21st Century:
Donald Trump: June 14, 1946
Though not born in February, born on Flag Day, brought us from the brink of globalism to America First, refuted the American apology tour, promotes Christian values, and used as his campaign slogan:
We thank You, Father, for lifting up President Trump during times of deep corruption when our trust in our sacred institutions is shaken and rightfully so.
We lift up President Trump and Vice President Pence to Your protection. Grant them wisdom, courage, and strength. May they lead us back to righteousness. May the evil plans and political machinations of the enemy within continue to be frustrated.
You, Lord, are Sovereign and will be glorified by the great works You have and will do for our people and our nation. And through the power of the Holy Spirit, make America great again, because our people put their trust in You.

or discipline me in your wrath.

Thank You for giving us Presidents Washington, Lincoln, Reagan, and Trump, who look(ed) to You for Wisdom, Guidance, and Blessing during crisis in America's history. May our nation return to its Declaration of Independence and to You, our CREATOR:
