Women priests? Maybe. Women can be close to God...close to our Savior...just as surely as men can.
The other issues...no thanks. Not in a million years.

This mostly sounds Pretty sad. Moral values have always been important to the church.

The German Bishops Conference should take a look at a book that provides miraculously good life advice: The Bible.

Women priests? Maybe. Women can be close to God...close to our Savior...just as surely as men can. Unfortunately, our Lord had different ideas. Case closed.

The working documents chapter dealing with sexual morality is revealingly titled, On the further development of Catholic teaching on sexuality. The document demands sexual morality must develop on the basis of insights of the human sciences, including the life experience [
] of (faithful) loving people.
And Hell rejoices. May these traitors be damned.

In 10.5 years of Catholic school...in the 50s and 60s...I can't recall Christ ever having clearly stated that women can't be priests. Show me the quote and I'll admit my error.

In 10.5 years of Catholic school...in the 50s and 60s...I can't recall Christ ever having clearly stated that women can't be priests. Show me the quote and I'll admit my error. We know his will by his actions; he only choose men to be his apostles, just as men were only chosen to be priest in the Old Testament. Both examples are in contrast to the pagan practice of women priests. It has also been the constant and universal practice of the Church from the apostolic age, thus a part of the infallible Sacred Tradition. You show me on what basis from either Scripture or Tradition that we could overturn this.

Christ wouldn’t have announced that explicitly because it wouldn’t have been necessary. He picked only men as apostles, not to be confused with disciples. And I don’t believe our Lord would have been concerned about “offending” anyone. He did that plenty. That is why he was crucified. It was simply understood that only men could fulfill the priestly role and be “alter Christus.”
