If 100% of the hierarchy has lost their faith, I don’t understand why, just out of self-preservation (for their jobs and organization) they don’t hold the line on theology. Recent history has shown that when you morph into a secular social group, attendance, interest, and income plummet.

At this point they are conducting fire sales to get rid of empty buildings; this BS won’t improve that situation. They will never appease everyone, and certainly not attract any new members; the divorced/re-married Catholics who didn’t annul their marriages have already indicated they couldn’t care less.
