Hate to break this to her....but the earth is THE LORD’S.
After they tried boiling him alive.
Bingo!!! We have a winner!
That very statement drives a stake right through the heart of modern liberalism. Every liberal wants to be a small god in their own right. They want to personally choose what you eat, what you can wear, what you can own, where you can go, who is in the White House, what the nature and state of their genitals are . . .
But remember John died in exile, on the island of Patmos.
I saw her speak on the Jim Bakker show once. Holy cow. I don’t know what to call her except a force of nature.
“Every liberal wants to be a small god in their own right.”
“Do as thou wilt” is, by definition, Satanism. At least in my book. You either live by God’s rules or break yourself against them. Having been guilty of breaking more than a few in my lifetime, I can attest to the latter. I have also actually seen the shadow of a snake crawl up someone’s body and into their eyes; bad juju, and I only barely survived what followed-long story.
God has blessed me with the other half now, and I don’t know why.
“Joy is the serious business of heaven.” (CS Lewis)
I look forward to going to work.
This lady is full of something and I don’t think it’s the Holy Spirit.
Jesus was always God; before Abraham was, HE IS!( “I AM” as he referred to himself to a group of rather upset scribes...)
I don’t even believe there was ever a real separation on the cross, at the moment of death Christ Father and Spirit all shared the consciousness of that crossing over...after alL Christ said that “The Father and I are one!” That didn’t change despite the physical despair Christ experienced near the moment of death, the same of which as I’ve watched other humans close to death do the same...”Don’t abandon me, hold my hand”.
Christ’s physical body, close to losing all internal resources to maintain life would have experienced a final shudder of despair, a certain fear of loss of hope and abandonment, a shutting down. But the Father was there and the Spirit; no wonder the elements grew dark and a great earth quake occurred, the whole of creation was under terrible strain...how the mighty ark angels that support the throne of God must have sorrowed and felt of the great weight of the Father’s grief. Yet the temple veil was split in two and certain of the Patriarchs of God were seen having arisen from their tombs. Life and Grace flowed from Jesus’ death.
To the extent that the whole of the Godhead could have perished, it did so on the cross!
Better than swaggerf thats for sure !
No, according to the Church fathers John was released from Patmos. He returned to Ephesus where he took in Polycarp as an acolyte and eventually made him Bishop of Smyrna.
What's even more interesting is that after he said this many of the Jews present tried to stone him. When he asked why they were trying to stone him they said "because you make yourself out to be God." There's nothing to suggest Jesus denied this accusation. Thus, contrary to what the muslims try to say, Jesus clearly claimed to be God.
Paula White, Rod Parsley, Steve Munsey, Mike Murdock, Coy Barker - their broadcasts aren’t sermons, they’re infomercials. Their pitch is basically: “God wants to bless you, but he won’t do it until after you send me your $300. “faith seed” (and the check clears.)”
"In the beginning was the Word [Logos]
"
John 1:1
"The Son is the image of the invisible God,...For in Him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through Him and for Him. He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together. [Logos]
Colossians 1:15-17
I was responding to the notion expressed by this paula person that Jesus ceased to be God. I went verbose on my response and expressed my heart. Sorry about being preachy....it just sort of came out!
Never be sorry for that - preach on, brother...
declared that the White House is now holy ground because she walked there. In fact, everywhere she walks becomes holy ground.
One of DJT's disreputable gaggle of religious advisors.
Does she even know what she's saying?
And the following verse affirms it:
If anyone thinks himself to be a prophet or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things which I write to you are the commandments of the Lord. 1 Cor 14:37
Right. The logical path.
But you got to remember that John spent time on that island. It is where Revelation is written.
But you said John was able to get off that island?
