Lauren Daigle, a popular Christian pop artist, gave an absurd answer when asked about homosexuality in an interview. Let's talk about the answer she should have given. Also, let's talk about the strange hostility Daigle encountered from many Christians even before this interview. She made a mistake, but many of her critics are making a mistake, too.

Maybe this “Christian” should spend some quality time with the Gospels and Epistles. That should clear up any confusion.
He might also read Ecclasticus or the Book of Sirach, which also admonishes men who sleep with men.

I read an article about her refusal and in retrospect, I believe she may have been on to something in answering the way she did. Without answering one way or the other, she encouraged the interviewer to read the Bible and find out for themselves. Put this way, I like her method. Getting the secular world to read the Word of God is always a good thing.
She is trying to reach the lost with her music, but that could be just a cop out trying to not “offend” the homosexual fan. That would be that greater sin.
Jeshua pointed this out when talking about lusting after a woman. He said it was adultery in the heart. What the Master was trying to point out was, keep your heart pure and you won't have a problem with action.

In our modern society we can safely say that homosexuality is the root of many evils. I believe the Catholic Church sgrees with me on that.

She told people to read for themselves, which is more than the author of the piece suggested. Yes, she is a Christian.
Probably doesn’t know whether scripture is authentic or what it says either.
Isn’t there something about sinning in the heart and not just the act itself?
Coveting for example - you don’t actually do anything...you just wish for other people’s stuff/situation.
Maybe just ask the CDC about the differences in behavior and the risk rate of acquiring a disease between the gay and hetero populations.
