The policy of the Archdiocese has been clear for decades. The city has been fine with it all along. What obviously happened here was that two homosexuals went to the Catholic adoption agency and wanted to sign up as an adopting family.
This was intentional knowing that they would be denied and then complain to local government. Local government withdrew the contract because someone was now threatening them with legal action and then covered their tracks legally by this duplicitous claim that they didnt know about the policy.
Added bonus for the homosexuals: the Archdiocese and adopting agency had to squander resources trying to preserve the contract.
Lower down, I relay the same story from Western MA.
It was a shame.
It's impossible to get a foster kid except through the state system.
Second, when it comes to permanent adoption, white undamaged newborns are instant adoptees, no problems whatsoever, multitudes of couples are on the waiting list to adopt them. The hard kids to place for permanent adoption are, as above, kids from the foster system.
Once again, you cannot get kids via the foster system except through the state.
So it's not just a matter of getting government funding.
It's a matter of getting government-controlled kids.
BTW, I strongly agree with you about the entangling problems of contracts given by government agencies to private agencies. But since the govt. has taken over so much of what used to be church "Works of Mercy," the whole shebang is now under the control of Holy Mother the State.
“Philly continues to Decay under the DemocRAT/Socialist/Leftists.”
I am so glad that I do not live anywhere near the EAST OR WEST COAST of our country. I really wonder if our country isn’t so far gone that we are circleing the drain.
And so will a large percentage of Catholics still vote for democrats and compromise their faith over social policies, or will they wake up?
Sick 5OB’s are trying to destroy our nation
I was fine to bring in. <^..^> But the school didn't like having strangers teaching. They had someone stay in the classroom first period just to be sure.
This is anecdotal and minimal, for sure. But it illustrates how in subtle ways government money changes things.
This happened years ago in Boston, MA. The Catholic Church in MA also stopped providing adoptions for anyone.
It’s the same with education and medical services. The Church is on a slippery slope when it accepts government money.
Looks like “diversity” is replacing common sense in that community. Too bad the judge the judge couldn’t be held responsible for the outcomes of his actions.
Sorry for the error in posting.
Children be damned- the gays are clamoring so the innocents must be sacrificed.
Sorry about that slipping through.
I would love to know who benefitted from THAT?
Give adopted children to gay parents, revenge immunity to the judges and state adoption agency.
When more of these kids are grown, they may just form their own revenge group to the gay recruiters. Sure beats stupid parades.
Also conveniently ignored at least
with 2 male parents is the incidence of substance abuse
and addiction and open/revolving relationships, all which
are bad child rearing environments. Yet in the name
of diversity and tolerance (which only truly means I dont
have to acknowledge approve sanction or fund anything your
fake minstrel show of a court-ordered marriage and family,
yet is lib-twisted into meaning something else)
And yet there is not and has never been the separation of Church
and State intended in the Constitution, only the establishment of
a State religion (the English king was the head of the C of E)
This will go to the Supreme Court and the church will win
