Fr Mark Morris held a Rosary and Benediction service to atone for the 'gross offence' of Glasgow Pride

A priest who offered a service of reparation for the “gross offence against God” of Glasgow Pride has been removed as a university chaplain.

Fr Mark Morris offered a Rosary, Litany and Benediction at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Balornock, Glasgow on Monday night.

Glasgow Caledonian University sacked him as Catholic chaplain the following day, saying his views were at odds with those of the educational institution.

University Principal Professor Pamela Gillies said: “Following due consultation Father Mark Morris will not return to his chaplaincy role at the university in September.

“The university will work with the Archdiocese of Glasgow to ensure the continued provision of chaplaincy support for staff and students at our Faith and Belief Centre when the new term starts.

“The university is strongly inclusive and committed to supporting equality and diversity on campus.”

Yeah, he's actually a REAL Catholic who won't bow down and worship Sodomites and sodomy. God bless him and shame on this debauched and Satanic university.

However, the university’s Catholic society said it was “extremely disappointed” at the move. “It is frankly abhorrent that a Catholic Priest would be dismissed from his post as a Catholic chaplain for merely reaffirming the teachings of the Catholic faith,” the GCU Catholic Community said. “It seems that Glasgow Caledonian University have a very warped understanding of ‘Equality and Diversity’, whereby they have permitted absolutely no diversity of opinion whatsoever. We are very sad to see that the opinions and beliefs of Catholics are not valued or respected at the university chaplaincy,” they added. “In all charity, we would urge the university to reconsider this unfair dismissal of our chaplain.” In a brief statement, the Archdiocese of Glasgow said it was “aware of the University’s decision” and will “address the provision of chaplaincy support in due course” In due course?

We can resist too, even if we pay a higher price, but we can resist.

Read the Catholic Hearld article at the link. Unclear as to whether or not the location has a bearing in the university’s actions. Is the cathedral where the service was offered part of the university campus? Or is he being punished for a service that occurred off campus (and perhaps also outside his normal working hours)?

I suspect that in the minds of university officials, it doesn’t really matter since the priest is guilty of not following the group think on the matter.

Immaculate Heart of Mary Church is a parish of the Archdiocese of Glasgow. Fr. Mark Morris FSSP is the pastor. According to their website and Facebook page, they have both the Novus Ordo and the Traditional Latin Mass. Liturgical traditionalists will notice the relevant elements of a SOlemn High Mass.

They have regular Benediction and a lot of seasonal devotions. They recently hosted Bishop Athanasius Schneider, a familiar name to Catholics as a hierarch who leads resistance to Pope Francis' errors. They also seem to be home base for Una Voce Scotland, which would be the Latin Mass society.

Their email address is

ihom46@fastmail.com

I'm going to contact them and see if they have a PayPal account or similar way to make an online contribution. I strongly believe in practical solidarity with real Catholics.

Look how big an explosion one drop of Truth can make.
