Yes, we wouldn’t want people to begin to think for themselves!
Patriotic priests.
Can’t have that!
This is an example of why some Libs are joining the Walk Away movement.
Did it ever cross the minds of other Catholics that these four priests may be indirectly trying to influence Trump’s selection of a Supreme Court Justice?
Get a grip everyone. Military personnel, firefighters, and police officers (I’ve been all three) are not allowed to attend political rallies in uniform. This is the same principle. When you’re wearing official garb marking you as a representative of an organization, the danger is that it will be seen that the whole organization being represented is being politically partisan and endorsing one candidate over another.
Father Erlenbush is a kick ass old school priest.
1/2+ point.
The priests are not supported by the taxpayer. In England, they are, but not here.
The connection to Amy Barrett came to my mind too. Perhaps this is an omen to her selection, Monday.
Priests are allowed to think for themselves.
So explain the priests in cassocks and collars at peacecreep protests, pride parades, pro-abortion rallies, anti-government demonstrations, resistance riots and the like?
That is what I was wondering.
That should stop. Either priest attend or have the option to attend all equally or none.

How do we know the President even knew they were there?

Im sure these perpetually peeved peons haven't said a peep about Pflegler.
Yours are state employees paid by taxes. Priests are private citizens. They have right to freedom of expression (speech) in public, but may have internal guidelines from bishop to dress plainly. Anyone else on FB or internet has no right to judge what a priest wears to a Trump rally. They have no obligation to please strangers.
Not quite. Any American including a priest may go to any public place or private allowed by law. In a free country there is no “option” to deprive a citizen of his movement... unless he has instructions from his bishop (and NO one else may give it including the pope).
Wearing blacks, a cassock or lay dress is normally chosen by the priest. These lefty priests you see chained to nuclear submarines (who ARE breaking the law) are vastly more common than priests at Republican rallies. Either their leftist bishop approves or they are Jesuits.
If the Papists took to officially endorsing candidates other than far leftists like Obama or Hillary, maybe their churches wouldn’t have to depend on superstitious old granny hispanics who crossed the border illegally to reinvigorate their religion.
