Wonderful testimony. Have a blessed New Year!
I do understand what Christ was telling Nicodemus about being born from 'above'. Unfortunately, like Nicodemus, some still have no clue what Christ was instructing. A changed heart would not divorce Christ from His command to keep His commandments.
The 'born again' crowd completely misses the point of Christ's instruction. Only those that take this flesh journey, born of woman in the flesh have the opportunity to 'see' the kingdom of God. Not all souls created, including the devil, will 'see' the kingdom of God. They gave up that right to 'see' the kingdom of God.
John 3:13 And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.
This is the heart of the instruction that Christ gave Nicodemus.
Whew! Gonna have to leave soon, unfortunately, but I’ll say now I sure wish sincere seekers of God would get out of that institution NOW.
Salvation is by a Person not by an institution or religion.
May God lead them away soon.
Best to you always, Mark. Be back when company leaves.
Later.
Christians agree. Many who are religious don't.
You can't make the mistake of thinking that everyone who says they are a Christian really is.
The Law was never intended to make man righteous before a holy God. It's simply not possible, especially once one has sinned even one sin.
The Law was established to show God's requirements and show us that we can't do it. It's given to lead us to Jesus for the forgiveness of our sin through His death on the cross.
God tells us that the soul that sins, dies.
But Jesus was sinless and while He died, death could not hold Him. He was able to break its power and conquer it.
When we come to Him and throw ourselves on the mercy of the court, so to speak, and ask Him to forgive us, God does and clothes us with the righteousness of Jesus Christ so that He sees us as holy and sin free as Jesus was.
The righteousness of Jesus is credited to our account. We are judicially pardoned and declared righteous.
But we would not have known what sin was without the Law to ennumerate it for us.
You’ve described my life.
It's right out of the Catechism of the Catholic church, their official Vatican document that defines and sets forth Catholic doctrine which all Catholics are bound to adhere to.
This is one of their former popes kissing a koran.

841 The Church's relationship with the Muslims. "The plan of salvation also includes those who acknowledge the Creator, in the first place amongst whom are the Muslims; these profess to hold the faith of Abraham, and together with us they adore the one, merciful God, mankind's judge on the last day."330
You know what...
I really, really need to get ready, but I just can’t believe my eyes. Seriously. My hair is half blow-dried and my husband’s becoming ticked but REALLY?
“The plan of salvation also includes those who acknowledge the Creator, in the first place amongst whom are the Muslims;”
That is the most un-Biblical, nuttiest, scariest thing I’ve read in my life. I spent my life reading, btw.
Gonna look more into it after things settle down.
Thank you for this but I’m not really grasping what I’m reading. How do Catholics defend this?

In my part of the world, it is already 2018. Happy new year.
Bookmarking for later. Thanks metmom.
Just can't bring yourself to believe what God tell us in his scriptures, eh???
Mat_25:46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.
Mat 25:41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:
Mat 13:42 And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
It ought to be clear that those in hell are going to be concentrating on the constant pain and punishment in hell and not sitting in the Lazy-Boy watching football thinking how much nicer it would be if God was there...
HAPPY NEW YEAR, BRO!!!!
Jesus' commandments are not the Ten Commandments...Reading a little scripture instead of being led around like a puppet would reveal that to you...
Whoa. Whaaa? What is that? You for real or kidding? Im asking seriously, ealgeone.
The above quote is from an address by Pope John Paul II.
Metmom has provided additional quotes from the Catechsism of the Roman Catholic Church on this issue.
To be clear on this....God as revealed in the Bible is not Allah in any form or fashion.
That Roman Catholicism would say this is a huge error on their part.
I do understand what Christ was telling Nicodemus about being born from 'above'. Unfortunately, like Nicodemus, some still have no clue what Christ was instructing. A changed heart would not divorce Christ from His command to keep His commandments.

“sitting in the Lazy-Boy...”
Here on earth, whether we believe it or not, we are all surrounded by God’s love. But at death our choice to be with God or not to be with God will be confirmed for all eternity as it was for the angels in just one instant.
This freely chosen separation from God after death is more painful than all the other pains put together. This means that if you put all the fires on the face of the earth together and you jump in, this pain would be very little in comparison to the pain of eternal separation from our Creator after death! Of course all the joys put together on the face of this earth cannot compare to the joy of being in the presence of God in heaven.
God, who is love, respects our free choice totally. Thus God hides heaven and hell from us to leave us free. If we saw one instant heaven, we would die immediately of joy, and we would not be free to be able to not choose God, which means to sincerely seek to discover everyday the will of God and live it with much prayer, as we say with our mouth in the Our Father: THY will be done, not MY will be done.
If a person is truly of good will, and is ready to lose everything to do God’s will, sincerely, God will not deceive this person. No one goes to hell by chance and no one goes to heaven by chance.
If there is true humility and the willingness to follow Jesus all the way to calvary and even die for Jesus as he died for each one of us, this person will find the uncomfortable truth, Christ crucified, each day, which will lead him closer and closer to Christ, the truth (Jn 14:6), and closer and closer to the fullness of truth and the fullness of the means of sanctification which are found only in the Catholic Church.
You say: “Vatican II contradicts previous Magisterium”.
According to you!!!
