I have no idea where you’re coming or going. You’re all over the place. Are you a Romam Catholic?
43Of Him all the prophets bear witness that through His name everyone who believes in Him receives forgiveness of sins. 44While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit fell upon all those who were listening to the message. 45All the circumcised believers who came with Peter were amazed, because the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out on the Gentiles also. 46For they were hearing them speaking with tongues and exalting God. Then Peter answered, 47Surely no one can refuse the water for these to be baptized who have received the Holy Spirit just as we did, can he? 48And he ordered them to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Then they asked him to stay on for a few days.
Why?
I didn't see the article specify what church to attend, except that it be Bible believing and teaching.
And of course, that WASN'T mentioned on the list of things to do, but rather was brought up first by a Catholic.
It goes to show what a false accusation and false portrayal that is of Christians that you have made.
So you've become a Catholic. What should you do?
And would you like it if we posted that about Catholics?
Or something like, *Get ion the internet and claim all non-Catholics are heretics and will go to hell unless they become a Catholic*?
I sure hope you don't think that there aren't CATHOLICS who fit that bill of starting fights on the internet.
You know what, though?
Errors in theology WILL get corrected out. God can take care of that and will.
Yes and yes.
Peter said this.
1 Peter 3:18-22 For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive in the spirit, in which he went and proclaimed to the spirits in prison, because they formerly did not obey, when God's patience waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was being prepared, in which a few, that is, eight persons, were brought safely through water.
Baptism, which corresponds to this, now saves you, not as a removal of dirt from the body but as an appeal to God for a good conscience, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ, who has gone into heaven and is at the right hand of God, with angels, authorities, and powers having been subjected to him.
IOW, it's NOT water baptism.
Nope, I don't think that at all. I think getting in fights on the Internet is a poor idea in general and is particularly disedifying for Christians.
I suggest checking the links below for BBN (Bible Broadcasting Network) where you can find information to help you continue on your journey. This is a wonderful, free, Bible Institute with students all over the world:
