“something of the look that only a mother can give to a son”

There is a bonding that happens with a baby and also between adults who are intimate. It is in the eyes. I think that one of the reasons that Jesus came as a tiny baby was so we can meditate upon his as a baby, as a child. The sin we all have to struggle with is that we are afraid of God, like Adam and Eve in the garden, we hide from him. We are coaxed out of our sin and all the distractions of the world by this baby. We are called to intimacy with God.

Thanks for posting this. Mother Mary was not and has not been a part of my life experience until a few years ago.

Now in these years of my catching up, I have a curiosity about Her and what other people outside of the Protestant perspective know about Her. I now have a want and a need for those answers, too.

Some to most of the material I've read about Her speaks to things that are new to me and that I cannot verify, but yet do make sense in a way.

As a "for what it's worth" example that is loaded with things that are new to me and that I don't understand yet do make sense in a way, I offer today's Message of the Day:

The Woman Adorned With The Sun

As another "fwiw", the celestial/astronomical event by that name is due to happen in Sept. of this year.
