With characteristic self-contradiction, Bergoglio went on to say that each country has the right to control its borders, who comes in and who goes out, and those countries at riskfrom terrorism or such thingshave even more of a right to control them, but no country has the right to deprive its citizens of the possibility to talk with their neighbors. But how does a country control its borders without a physical barrier of some kind, like that behind which Bergoglio himself resides in the sovereign Vatican City State whose borders are impenetrable? And what does talking with ones neighbors have to do with border control? Evidently conflating metaphor with reality, Francis proposes that border walls or fences literally prevent international conversation.
No, it's the author of the article who's confusing metaphor with reality.
The pope admits that countries have the right to control their borders and immigration. But he wants to qualify or check the tendency of countries to cut themselves off from the rest of the world, something that he sees as a potential danger.
I wouldn't put things the way he did and certainly wouldn't drag in Hitler, but what's the problem with that? Like the Queen of England, the Pope has the right to advise, encourage, and warn, and the rest of the world has the right to ignore him.

No, in fact the founders tried to prevent him from being President by including the natural born citizen clause.
He is not a natural born citizen regardless of where he was born because his foreign national father made him a British subject at birth. He even admitted that much, what he left out was that he was ineligible as a result.
The Ministry of Propaganda aided by the GOP used the Alinsky “birther” attacks to silence anyone who knows what natural born citizen means.
The GOP assisted with the usurpation because they had a stable full of ineligibles, Cruz, Rubio, Jindal, Haley and George P. Bush.

If anyone thus speaks, that the Roman Pontiff has only the office of inspection or direction, but not the full and supreme power of jurisdiction over the universal Church, not only in things which pertain to faith and morals, but also in those which pertain to the discipline and government of the Church spread over the whole world; or, that he possesses only the more important parts, but not the whole plenitude of this supreme power; or that this power of his is not ordinary and immediate, or over the churches altogether and individually, and over the pastors and the faithful altogether and individually: let him be anathema. - First Vatican Council Of course he has authority, if one believes he is a true pope.

It all started with the made-up concept of a pope.
That is the real fact.

Rev 18
4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.
Don`t forget, this also includes her daughters.

Why must this man weigh in on politics?
He is making me regret that I became a Catholic because my husband is Catholic.
I grew up Presbyterian and I was so afraid to tell my father that I never did before he passed away.
