Job 1:12 “All right, you may test him,” the LORD said to Satan. “Do whatever you want with everything he possesses, but don’t harm him physically.” So Satan left the LORD’s presence.

Notice the word “test”. God was testing Job, Satan was tempting him. What’s the difference, testing and tempting look the same.

I don’t think the emphasis of Job and Jacob is wrestling and arguing with God. Behind this is testing. What is the purpose of a test?
