Wrong. Peter did not commit grave errors in doctrine. His errors were matters of imprudence/sin. It is not comparable.

Sorry; but the Book that Rome assembled states otherwise:

Galatians 2:11-14  English Standard Version (ESV)

Paul Opposes Peter

11 But when Cephas came to Antioch, I opposed him to his face, because he stood condemned. 12 For before certain men came from James, he was eating with the Gentiles; but when they came he drew back and separated himself, fearing the circumcision party.[a] 13 And the rest of the Jews acted hypocritically along with him, so that even Barnabas was led astray by their hypocrisy. 14 But when I saw that their conduct was not in step with the truth of the gospel, I said to Cephas before them all, “If you, though a Jew, live like a Gentile and not like a Jew, how can you force the Gentiles to live like Jews?”

I see your faith in catholic doctrine is greater than what is clearly written in the Word.

14But when I saw that

they were not straightforward about the truth of the gospel,

I said to Cephas in the presence of all, “If you, being a Jew, live like the Gentiles and not like the Jews, how is it that you compel the Gentiles to live like Jews? Galatians 2:14

Sure sounds like a grave error in doctrine.

Perhaps if catholics would read Galatians they'd understand what Paul was writing about.
