Have we truly arrived to a SCHISM?

As always, it is very important in these times of great confusion, when even Catholic bishops are no longer in agreement about the fundamentals of our faith and morals, to not only pray much and to study the Catechism of the Catholic Church for adults (CCC), but to keep our eyes open so as not to fall into the beautiful lies of Satan presented as if they were the Truth!!!

A friend of mine recently showed me a synthesis of a conference given by Padre Santiago Martin, F.M., entitled “Love, Truth and Mercy”, May 2014. I found this article on several Italian web sites, a few of which added the subtitle: “Have we truly arrived to a SCHISM?”

I have translated this article into English to help people realize the gravity of the situation. Very few Catholics today realize the great devastation that will be caused if it becomes widely accepted, or even officially approved, what Cardinal Kasper proposes, as well as many bishops and cardinals in agreement with Cardinal Kasper who have been promoted in the last three years, such as the new General Secretary of the Italian Episcopal Conference, Monsignor Nunzio Galantino, and the new Archdiocese of Chicago, Monsignor Blase Cupich. Cardinal Burke who stanchly explained that you cannot change Church Doctrine, the Truth, Who is Christ, was demoted.

Our Lady of Akita, Japan (1973), told us: “The work of the devil will infiltrate even the Church in such a way that one will see CARDINALS OPPOSING CARDINALS, bishops against other bishops. The priests who venerate Me will be scorned and opposed by their conferees… churches and altars sacked, the Church will be full of those who accept compromise …”

This article by Padre Santiago Martin explains well that what Cardinal Kasper is proposing is totally contrary to the constant teaching of the Catholic Church.

After following what has been going on in the Church in the last three years and the great confusion in the Catholic Church, as well as the fact that the bishops promoted in the last three years are basically along the lines of Cardinal Kasper, and the bishops who do not think like Kasper, such as Cardinal Burke, have been demoted, my eyes are wide open while I wait to see what will be published in the Apostolic Exhortation on the Family at the end of this month.

Satan, “the father of lies” (Jn 8:44), says lies or says the truth when it serves his purposes at the moment he decides. Normally people assume that people generally say the truth and thus we are vulnerable to liars and manipulators. It is the nature of a good mother to assume the best about her child, while the good father should protect the child from the poison of lies. If everyone did as Satan, there would be totally chaos in a free society; in hell there is forced order. Jesus said: “You will know them by their fruits” (Mt 7:15-20; Lk 6:44). Jesus did NOT say, “You will know them by their leaves”, which would be their nice words! From the highest leaders in the Catholic Church we have heard contradictory statements recently. Cardinal Kasper, and bishops like him have been encouraged and promoted recently.

My eyes are wide open for the words and phrases that will be used in the forthcoming Apostolic Exhortation. In the past, at least up to three years ago, the Church has always been very careful to not use ambiguous words and phrases in such important documents. “Satan disguises himself as an angel of light” (2Cor 11:14)! Where are the true pastors ready to loose their titles, prestige, money and life to protect the sheep from the hidden but powerful poison of the nice lies, presented as the truth, by our adversary, the devil, who “prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking some one to devour” (1Pet 5:8-9)?!?

If I were Satan, I would gently and silently facilitate the slide down the slippery slope toward the acceptance and even the denial of sin, and at the same time I would make to look ridiculous or hypocritical and vilify, in a covert way, the few who hold to the true teachings of the Catholic Church, the uncomfortable Truth which truly “sets us free” (Jn 8:32). If I were Satan, the true Catholics should be labeled as ridged and old-fashioned, insensitive, lacking in compassion, divisive, judgmental, moralists, and above all lacking in mercy in this Year of Mercy! This is no new strategy, but it works, especially when, by now, the great majority in the Catholic Church have allowed themselves to slide into the easy and gratifying way of relativism.

Precisely at this moment Cardinal Müller reasserts Church's teaching on divorce-remarriage! Why was this not reasserted clearly and without confusion before and during the two Synods on the Family? Why did Cardinal Burke say after the Synod in October 2014: “Many have expressed their concerns to me. At this very critical moment, there is a strong sense that the Church is like a ship without a rudder”? Why was the book, “Remaining in the Truth of Christ”, in defense of marriage, by five cardinals, not allowed into the Synod of Bishops in October 2014?!? Why did Our Lady of Good Success warn us (January 20, 1610), that when the Sacrament of Matrimony will be attacked and deeply profaned in our century, “in this supreme moment of need for the Church, the ONE who should speak will fall silent!”?!? As I wrote above, it is so important to struggle to seek the uncomfortable truth in these times of great confusion, to seek to put the pieces of the puzzle together so as to realize how we are being led, in a very subtle and clever way, where we do not want to go. Today there are a great number of followers of the “father of lies” (Jn 8:44), Satan!

As I wrote on my index blog (https://josephdwight.wordpress.com/2015/09/21/joseph-dwight-index/): “I do not think it was by chance that when Pope John Paul II was asked toward the end of his life to offer one verse from the entire Bible for the people of God, he responded without hesitation: “THE TRUTH SHALL SET YOU FREE” (Jn 8:32; Jer 6:16)! Father, “Sanctify them in the truth” (Jn 17:17)! The Truth, tied to the cross of Jesus here on earth, is uncomfortable!”

Do not believe the nice lie of Satan that it is easy to arrive to heaven, or that heaven is automatic or that hell does not exist! “Today, I was led by an Angel to the chasms of hell… But I noticed one thing: that most of the souls there are those who disbelieved that there is a hell” (Diary of Saint Faustina, 741). If a person freely chooses in this short life to not trust God and to not seek the Truth from their Creator (“Ignorance is bliss!”), at death, God does not send this person to hell; this person freely throws himself/herself into hell so as not to spend eternity with the eternal Truth Who is God in heaven. After death, there are only two places that exist for all eternity: a place where there is God, and a place where there is not God! “The chief punishment of hell is eternal separation from God, in whom alone man can possess the life and happiness for which he was created and for which he longs” (CCC 1035)!

There is no other way to heaven than the way of Jesus Christ, who went to Calvary, who suffered more than we can possibly imagine, and died on the cross for each of us. Do we think that we have found a better and easier way without the cross?!? “I thank Thee, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that Thou hast hidden these things from the wise and understanding and revealed them to babes” (Mt 11:25; Lk 10:21).

But it is impossible to follow Jesus Christ without the help of Jesus Christ! The saints tell us very simply: “Those who pray will be saved; those who do not pray will be damned!” The choice is ours to put a priority on spending time each day with Jesus and Mary in prayer and before the Eucharist, or to put a priority on everything else. If something or someone is important to us, we find time for that something or for that person. God, Who is love, will respect this choice, even if we want to remain immature babies all our life believing that God will judge us as immature babies without any responsibility. If we do not have time for God in this short life, we will not have time for God for all eternity!

Saint Padre Pio said: "It would be easier for the world to survive without the sun than to do so without the HOLY MASS." This saint also said: “The ROSARY is the weapon for these times”!

Go to CONFESSION REGULARLY, otherwise you will end up as so many Catholics today who believe and live as if there is no sin, as if Christ died on the cross for amusement! There are so many sacrilegious Holy Communions today, with very few going to confession and almost everyone going to Holy Communion at Holy Mass. So many priests and bishops no longer guard the flock from the nice lies of the wolf, Satan, and do not talk about sin and the consequences of sin according to the Catechism of the Catholic Church for adults (CCC), but rather according to “the prince of the world” (Jn 12:31; 14:30), “the father of lies” (Jn 8:44)! Beautiful lies presented as if they were the truth are always easier than the Truth crucified on the cross! But the Truth crucified on the cross in this short life, after death, will shine with an unimaginable splendor for all eternity!

The responsibility of fathers of families, priests and bishops is very great; pray for them that they might live their God-given vocations for the salvation of the eternal souls entrusted to them. I have a great sorrow in my heart for souls entrusted to fathers of Catholic families, to priests and to bishops, who do not live nor teach the true Catholic faith well summarized in the Catechism of the Catholic Church for adults (CCC)! “Satan disguises himself as an angel of light” (2Cor 11:14)! Where are the real Christian men who reveal and warn about these very numerous wolves in sheep’s clothing today, at the risk of being ostracized, ridiculed and persecuted, for the good of the souls entrusted to them? The TV today portrays men as misfits, awkward, cowards, wimps, womanizers, philanderers, skirt chasers, milksop, namby-pambys, sissies, OR arrogant one-man saviors like Rambo or Arnold Schwarzenegger who are seeking the glory before men (Lk 6:26; Jn 12:43; 5:44) and thus are not instruments of God but of themselves!

Where are the real Christian women who inspire the men in their God-given vocation (not according to the world) instead of seducing them and ridiculing them and manipulating them as we see continually in our mass media today?!? Saint Monica did not have the greatest husband nor the greatest son, but persevering in her God-given vocation as a wife and as a mother, with much prayers and sacrifices and tears, her husband converted before dying and her son became the great Saint Augustine, doctor of the Church!

Only with sincere (“THY will be done”, not “MY will be done”!) persevering prayer is it possible to live our God-given vocations according to God, not according to the world and the very powerful mass media today! Satan does all he can to mess up, to mix up, to upset the God-given vocations of the priests, of the lay people, of the family, of man and of woman, pitting one against the other, using his various diabolical groups to destroy the family, such as the Freemasons, secular feminism, the secular mass media and the like. We desperately need the gift of the vocation of the other person beside us, to be able to fulfill our own vocations; the vocations from God are complimentary so as to build up the Body of Christ (1Cor 12)! The husband needs his wife, the heart of the family, to be inspired by his wife. The wife needs her husband, the head of the family, who receives from God the graces of his vocation to not only to guide and to provide for the family, but to have the opportunity to offer his life, not for a false ideal offered by the continual bombardment of the mass media today, but for a genuine eternal ideal in protecting his wife and children and the society from the sugar-coated poison of the beautiful lies of our invisible adversary the devil who “prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking some one to devour” (1Pet 5:8). How many husbands have such a wife who patiently inspires him in his vocation so that he has the help and strength to persevere in such a contaminated world so as to have the courage to say: let us turn off the TV and let us pray together as a family the Rosary, the “spiritual television” (Pope Paul VI; Angelus, October 3, 1976)?

The parishioners need the human instrument of the gift of guidance and of the life giving Sacraments, THE PRIEST; and the priest needs the parishioners to have the opportunity to give his life for Jesus in each parishioner and for the Body of Christ, the Church, as Christ did for each of us, and for His spouse, the Church. No one can substitute for the gift of the vocation of the other. Thus is it very important to inspire, to confirm, to have patience, to appreciate, to enjoy, to pray much for the other persons and to encourage the vocation of each person which helps to build up each other, the family and the society, instead of tearing down each other, the family and society. Behold the hidden strategy of our mortal enemy, Satan!

Do we believe that God gave us the Ten Commandments for our good or for our harm? Do good parents give rules to their children for the good of their children or to harm their children? Do we trust God or do we trust ourselves or the world? If children are led to mistrust their parents and legitimate authority by the TV, they will automatically trust the messages of the world; the prince of the world is Satan (Jn 12:31; 14:30)! Have we as adults remained spoiled arrogant children or have we learned to trust our heavenly Father by way of much prayer and sacrifice? When a good priest leads, with his example and then with his words, the parishioners toward Calvary to live in an authentic way the Gospel explained by the Catechism of the Catholic Church for adults, and then some parishioners telephone the bishop to complain, how many bishops today back up the good pastor to help the parishioners overcome the lack of human and Christian maturity, probably not received from their fathers during the formative years from 1 to 12 years of age?!?

But even though our culture today offers us many justifications and motives and excuses to remain spoiled arrogant children in our closed egoism, THERE IS ALWAYS HOPE, just as there was for Saint Augustine and for all the saints, as long as we are alive and willing to humbly confess our sins (according to God’s laws) and as long as we are willing to sincerely pray especially before the infinite God in the tabernacle with the help of the Mother of God with her Rosary!

My Cardinal, along with the young auxiliary bishop of my diocese, took away my parish last October 13, 2015. A great number of parishioners today are used to Christianity without the cross; when I explained simply and clearly that this does not lead to heaven for eternity, a few of them telephoned the bishop, and the bishop took their side without speaking with me. The bishop was not happy when I told him that all my homilies are recorded and many of them are on YouTube. As I wrote above, I have a great sorrow in my heart for the souls entrusted to such bishops and priests! I like this date of my dismissal from the parish, exactly two years before the centenary of the anniversary of the great miracle of the sun, October 13, 1917 at Fatima, Portugal! Among other things, this auxiliary bishop on October 9, 2014 wrote to me the following: 3) You cite the bible and the CCC, but you also cite prophecies and private revelations. These things do not regard the faith and cannot be imposed on anyone! Do not cause confusion, neither in the preaching, nor in your head. In my homily on November 1, 2013 at the cemetery of my parish, I gave a few scoldings to the people when I say that at that Mass at the cemetery of the parish, there were more than 100 people, but at the Sunday Mass, there were less than 20. I said to them: “For the Mamma or the Grandmother here at the cemetery, more than 100 people, but for Jesus Who gave you your Mamma and your Grandmother and all the rest, less than 20 people at the Sunday Mass; it seems to me that it has become a religion of the dead instead of the living. Without gratitude, there is no salvation!”… The Sunday after this homily at the cemetery, a couple of parishioners gave me a scolding. If a good father of a family tries to lead the children with his example toward a healthy self-discipline in following Christ, but his wife tells the children that this is not necessary and is exaggerated, who will the children believe and follow? If a good pastor offers the authentic teaching of the Church and the five or six priests in the area criticize this good pastor while they offer a Christianity without the cross, who will the parishioners believe and follow, especially if the bishop backs up these five or six priests? Behold the fundamental strategy to destroy: divide and conquer!

When our Lord said, “What therefore God has joined together, let no man put asunder” (Mt 19:6), the disciples said to Jesus: “If such is the case of a man with his wife, it is not expedient to marry” (Mt 19:10). The disciples knew what Jesus was saying. THIS IS HARD! Do you know what the divorce rate was in the USA in 1960? Five percent! Were human beings different then? What was it that made 95% of the marriages stay together until death? Now you look at it and you say who could possibly expect today to stay together until death!?! Even though many who stayed together years ago would have divorced if they lived today, those who stayed together years ago, when the spouse died, they sobbed like babies. So the Church basically says yes, we recognize that those terrible things happen. But unfortunately when you open the door to divorce, EVERYBODY WANTS TO RUN THROUGH IT!

A fundamental strategy of Satan in this period is to offer false love, false mercy and misguided compassion. Certainly if a child is struggling with certain difficulties, it is good for the mother to comfort the child. But the ultimate solution is not to comfort the child for his whole life but to lead the child toward the real and lasting solution, to follow Jesus Christ to Calvary, with Mary at his side. We are all dust, as we hear on Ash Wednesday: “Remember that you are dust, and to dust you shall return”! If the father of the family, or if the pastor of the parish, does not lead the children or the parishioners, by good example and then by word, to the one true God Who alone can give strength to overcome our difficulties, what can “dust” do to help a child or a parishioner? Behold the cult of man today, which puts man and the love of man before God and before the love of God! If the wife does not support the good husband, or the bishop does not support the good pastor, who will lead these people to the One true Solution, “the Way, and the Truth, and the Life” (Jn 14:6)? If the father of the family leads the children with his example of true love according to the Gospel and not love according to the TV, which includes the authority of the father as head of the family, then the children will much more easily and happily accept the loving authority of Jesus Christ who is not a weak or arrogant wimp as the mass media today portrays Christ and men in general.

When priests and bishops and lay people, who are immersed in the cult of man, see a priest who follows the “old ways”, they say, he is not like us, the majority, therefore he has a problem; their question is whether this priest is “like us”, their question is NOT if this priest is like those who follow the teachings of the Magisterium of the Church well summarized in the Catechism of the Catholic Church for adults!!! The Truth, Who is God, does not change! Behold the great pressure exercised on those who do not conform to relativism, to put them in line with “political correctness”, with the great majority in the cult of man today, a Christianity without the cross which does not lead to the true eternal resurrection, but rather to the true eternal damnation in hell, whether the creature believes hell exists or not!!! After death there are only two place that last for eternity: a place where there is the Immutable Truth, God, and a place where there is not the Immutable Truth, God, but “the father of lies”! God, Who is Love, does not force anyone to spend eternity with the Truth Who is God! “Whoever denies me before men, I also will deny before my Father who is in heaven” (Mt 10:33)!

Those who pray sincerely, which means “THY will be done”, not “MY will be done”, put Christ before themselves as model and realize how much is needed to imitate Christ. Those who do NOT pray sincerely, and do not truly desire to discover what God desires, end up putting themselves as the model and go around seeking to put others in line according to their mindset, “the dictatorship of relativism”!

“King Nebuchadnezzar made an image of gold…” (Dan 3:1). Today the idol is the cult of man behind which is Satan to be worshiped and adored!

When a pastor of a nearby parish continued relentlessly to try to draw me back into this cult of man after I left his parish, I tried to explain to him that he did not live his ideal of the Focolare Movement to make yourself one with the other (“farsi uno”), which means to seek to understand the other person’s thoughts and point of view, as Chiara Lubich explained in order to offer true love. But a great number of people in the FOCOLARE MOVEMENT have put aside the uncomfortable Truth so as “to love”, while deceiving themselves and others because they do not truly embracing “Jesus Forsaken”, which is a fundamental point of the spirituality of unity of Chiara Lubich!?! Do they realize that this is false love that in the end does great harm to the ones they claim to love?!? Finally when this did not work with this pastor, I accused him of being like the fascists before WWII who said (according to the Italians): “EAT AND SHUT UP!” (“Mangia e stai zitto!”). I said to him that you do not want to understand my thoughts and you do not want to read my articles on the Web which have many references to the documents of the Church, but you tell me to come to your parish festivals, to eat, but “shut up”, like a slave in the house who can eat, but his thoughts and words are not worth anything! When even the apostles at the beginning of their walk with Christ were “amazed” and even “exceedingly astonished” at the uncompromising words of Christ (Mk 10: 23-27), Christ did not do as the men (wimps) that we see on TV today. Instead He said: “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible” (Mt 19:26; Mk 10:27; Lk 18:27).

Precisely at a turning point in the conversion of Saint Augustine (Confessions, VIII, 12), when he was inspired to open the Bible at random, he read: “But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to gratify its desires” (Rom 13:14). How many fathers of families (priests and bishops) today, formed by the culture of relativism today instead of by a good Christian father, and not inspired by a good wife who overcame secular feminism, do not live this verse of Saint Paul and thus do not help their children to make the same conversion as did Saint Augustine and all of the saints? Saint Francis of Assisi called his body “brother ass”, indicating how he lived Romans 13:14. This widespread lack of good wholesome fathers is at the root of the feminized “Church of the Nice” that we have today as well as the increase of homosexuality and the slide into false ecumenism which will lead to the One World Church as a preparation for the advent of the Antichrist.

Our Lady at Akita, Japan said (October 13, 1973): “The work of the devil will infiltrate even the Church in such a way that one will see cardinals opposing cardinals, bishops against other bishops. Contrary to the lies of the prince of the world, Satan (Jn 12:31; 14:30), heaven is not automatic but hell is automatic for those who do not engage in this spiritual battle. “The whole of man’s history has been the story of dour combat with the powers of evil” (CCC 409)! Dead bodies float downstream; to get to heaven one must continually swim upstream in this short life of “DOUR COMBAT”! One must struggle to seek the uncomfortable crucified Truth on the cross in the midst of much confusion and false easy truths all around us today, and then live this Truth with much prayer, especially the Rosary, and with the help of the Sacraments and frequent adoration before the Most Blessed Sacrament. One must persevere in prayer; at the beginning it is more difficult but as time goes on, as with any sincere relationship, our relationship deepens with Jesus and Mary, and time spent with Jesus and Mary even becomes a real delight and the most beautiful and enriching moments of our day. I took the advice of the Servant of God, Archbishop Fulton Sheen, over 15 years ago and began spending at least one hour everyday before the Most Blessed Sacrament in church. What a great gift!

“The truth shall make you free” (Jn 8:32)! The beautiful lies of the “father of lies” will apparently make you free today but will make you slaves tomorrow and, after death, for all eternity, even if you do not believe that heaven or hell exist! God establishes the reality after death, not the very numerous false gods, the relativists! In heaven there is room for one God; hell is full of gods who did not seek Truth or reality outside of their own finite heads! In the end, each of us, according to our choices we freely make in this short life, will spend eternity under a benevolent dictatorship of love or under a malevolent dictatorship of total slavery! “The Truth (of God!) will make you free”!

The following are some references, video clips and articles, that I found (or from friends), which indicate the various hidden strategies and also a few prophecies for our times. When we come to realize how much we are by now totally under the control of those who do not believe in God and have offered their services and lives to the “father of lies” (Jn 8:44), we must not despair! For us Catholics, who have received much more than non Catholics, we must take advantage of what we can receive in the Sacraments. We must spend as much time as possible on your knees before the Most Blessed Sacrament in the tabernacles in the Catholic churches, pray the Holy Rosary, and meditate often on the Passion of Christ!

Very few Catholics today, immersed into relativism, realize that to change, even an “iota” of the saving laws of God (Mt 5:18; Lk 16:17; Mk 13:31), will bring very great destruction to eternal souls. Wars were fought in the first centuries of the Church due to disputes over the doctrine of the Church; now very few Catholics even care. If we are not alert with much prayer and study, the same old tricks of our adversary, with different dressings, will be used to lead us astray and away from God Who is the Truth and the way to eternal life.
